Capital One Savor $500 Signup Bonus Still Available via Affiliates, Public Offer Down to $300

[Update 5/3/19: Now it seems to be $300 consistently in the public channels, but still showing $500 via affiliates.]

The Capital One Savor Rewards card relaunched back in August with a $500 signup bonus on $3,000 in spend and has held steady since then. Two readers note that the bonus is down to $300 now. Sometimes you can get $400 or $500; try incognito or VPN browsing.

Regardless, upon checking sites who have affiliate links with Capital One, it appears the $500 offer is still showing there. I wouldn’t be surprised if it will be pulled from them too any day (they might have agreements to get a few days notice).

Hopefully, it’ll last longer, but certainly worth applying now by using an affiliate link if you’re interested. Support your favorite blogger in doing so. (We don’t have affiliate links for credit cards or bank accounts on our site at all.)

I’ve been wanting to get this card if only for the signup bonus. The card is also somewhat interesting card for a lot of people on its own merit. Capital One is tough for some of us to get in the door with, check out these Things to Know about Capital One Credit Cards before applying.

Complete BS… never been denied by a credit card before. I noticed the 500 sign up, and now I don’t see it anymore so I am wondering if they made it hard to get approved to phase out the 500 offer. They asked for income verification, which most of my income is passive but I still showed an amount that I would have otherwise qualified for in any other card I applied to…

I have been targeting this card for several months now. Application for my wife was turned down in December 2018 saying she had too many cards in last 24 months. She was 7/24. I didn’t apply as am 9/24. none of us have an existing relationship with Cap1. we keep getting pre-approved offers for cards having no sign-up bonus.

From all comments here I can see below cases of approvals. wondering what is the trick?
1. 8/24, Score: Unknown. Had a secure cap1 card & an MM account
2. 4/24, Score: 815
3. 3/24, Score: 770
4. 3/24, Score: 745
5. 4/24, Score: 820. Used Credit Karma link
6. 3/24, Score: 780
7. 5/24, Score: 780
8. 2/24, Score: 800

Just denied. 815 Fico, lol/24, have 1 personal Capital One card with $7500 limit. Sad, is it worth contacting reconsideration?

IINM, even when one is denied, they still do HP on the 3 CRAs, so might as well make the most of those HPs.

Thanks. Called (800) 625-7866. They’re open 8am – 8pm Est. Agent will escalate & they will do a manual review. I will have to call back in 2-3 weeks for a status.

Denied. 790 FICO, lol/24, purposefully ran up a (0% interest) balance to try this.

Just denied at 3/24 w/815 credit score and <5% utilization. Perplexing.

Can Cap One cards be MS’d? I’ve just received 2P’s CSP, so organic may be a bit unrealistic.

I just got my Savor card, is there a way to check if I was signed up with the $500 bonus vs $400 bonus?

It should be in the paperwork they mail with the card. Look for “bonus” section.
