The Offer
- Get 5% off any gift card sold by Cardcash when using promo code: SLICKOFF
Our Verdict
Keep in mind you no longer earn an additional 5% with Chase Ink cards (Chase Ink Plus or Chase Ink Cash). A lot of people have problems with Cardcash, so if you do make a purchase make sure you have plans to use the cards within 45 days of purchase (the return window). As far as I know no shopping portals as currently offering any cash back on Cardcash currently.
Hat tip to slickdeals
Thanks Dan! You prob should add Dollar Tree to your list. They have some good deals on somethings and with your code it will be like I will get everything for 82 cents instead of $1! Unfortunately a lot of people sell GCs and then still use them, but cardcash will refund you as long as you let them know within 45 days.
Says coupon is expired
Ah, CardCash.
Here’s the issue, my friends.
If one of your cards is zeroed out, CardCash has NO way of knowing whether you did this and are claiming you didn’t or whether their seller let them down. So the FIRST time you say one of your gift cards has been emptied, they will refund you and treat you well.
But the SECOND time you say one of your cards is empty, now YOU are the fraudster. You are banned from the site, and you DON’T get your money back.
So as long as you’ve had an issue with them ZERO times, you are good to go. If you’ve had an issue with them once, you are one bad gift card away from striking out.
Part of CardCash’s problem is that their seller quality is low. It is remarkably easy to sell to them, vs. other sites. And, for that matter, it’s remarkably difficult to be a bulk/trusted seller with them. They also treat their bulk sellers like dirt. As a result, their card quality is much lower than CardPool or Raise or GiftCardZen or SaveYa.
So enjoy them once in a while. Eventually, you will get banned, though.
Also, their practice of jacking up prices before a 5% off sale is something the New Jersey Attorney General should be informed of.
I bought home depot gift card of $100+ on Friday 7/29 and received within 15 minutes via email. However, when I tried to use the card today in the store. I was told that there is “No balance available” on my card after standing in front of two cashiers for 10 minutes really embarrassed.
No one answers the phone when I called. I hope it is just because that they are off on Sunday.
Try emailing Abe Nojowitz directly. In my recent experience selling three $100 Sears gift cards to ABC that were used in full four days after I sold them, Abe was the name that I kept hearing from Cardcash’s reps. I ultimately received my check after repeatedly calling and emailing.

i like cardcash b/c unlike Cardpool, they email you their electronic GCs almost immediately. Cardpool prints them and mails them.
Cardpool also emails egift card within minutes. I have done it for many times before I headed to restaurant and saved a decent bucks. I am not sure why it is not the case for you.
As with Frank, I got e-gc fairly quick. Within 10 minutes via email.
Caveat emptor. These guys are real garbage.
You understand you’re linking to a business that lost their BBB accreditation, right? They lost in September, 2015.
I don’t find BBB particularly useful over years. Some companies rated as AAA not necessarily give good service, while others rated as B may not be bad. FYI, raise is rated at B and they do have great service, at least from my perspective. Cardcash indeed looked suspicious especially for egift cards these days, but purchasing cards that are limited to store use should still be fine. At least I got no problem with lowe’s store credit or gas card from them for over 8 months for now.
Recent stories have scared me way toooo much to ever touch CardCash
What stories? Could you care to elaborate?
Is this about GCR or Cardcash in particular?
It’s something like the balance of your gift cards “mysteriously” disappear right after the 45-day window. The suspicious part is, it happened coincidently for some people, which makes it not so coincident but deliberate.
Hm… interesting.
I’m just asking because I literally bought tens of thousands dollars worth of GCs from them. And some of them did have 0 balance but they were very good with issuing refund. I think they even give me refund after 45 days have passed because I proved them that it was closed by the merchant for fraud.
I have no issues with them yet. Probably it is something with their bulk sellers. Here is my thought.
Cardcash sells at a huge volume, gc, especially egc, can be sold at a quick pace. And since Cardcash requires selling to them at least $5000 worth of gcs for being a bulk seller, so if a few from their bulk seller group decided to do something like, draining the balance at day 50, it can pretty much influence many people.
Cardcash is quite established and their finance breaks even, there is no point for them to hurt their own brand to do so.
Don’t do it unless you want your money evaporat like with GiftCardRescue…
