[Expired] Chase Co-Brand Cards: Earn up to 4,000 Bonus Points with $1,000+ Purchases [Targeted]

These spending offers have now expired, click here for more Chase deals and news.

The Offer

Chase is sending out an offer via email on their cobranded cards to earn up to 4,00 bonus points. I’ve seen the offer for the Southwest and Hyatt cards; it might be on other cards too.

  • Earn 500 bonus points each time you make a purchase of at least $1,000 from January 15, 2018 to March 31, 2018.
  • You can earn 500 bonus points on up to 8 eligible purchases, for a total of up to 4,000 bonus points.

There is another offer on the British Airways card:

  • Earn 7,500 bonus points when you spend $7,500 or more

The Fine Print

  • To be eligible for this bonus offer, you must log on to the website referenced in this offer and enroll by 03/31/18 11:59 p.m. ET
  • You’ll earn an additional 500 points, up to a maximum of 4,000 points, for the entire promotional period, on purchases of $1,000 or more when you use your Hyatt credit card for transactions from 01/15/2018 through 03/31/2018
  • A purchase transaction must bill and post to your account in an amount that is equal to or greater than $1,000; for example, purchase transactions with items that ship at different times and bill in amounts less than $1,000 will not qualify for this bonus
  • Your bonus points are calculated each billing cycle based on the number of purchase transactions of $1,000 or more during the promotional period that falls within that billing cycle
  • Points earned in a monthly billing cycle are generally available to be used at the beginning of the next billing cycle; bonus points earned on purchases made near the end of a billing cycle may take up to one additional billing cycle to become available
  • You’ll see points you’ve earned on chase.com and on your monthly card billing statement
  • Credit card product changes during the promotional period will forfeit this bonus offer
  • To qualify for this promotional offer, account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment. This promotional offer is non-transferable. This is a limited time offer.

Our Verdict

It’s only half-point bonus per penny, and mainly works out well for a card you’d want to spend on regardless. If you got the offer on the Southwest card, there’s the added advantage that these bonus points will count toward your Companion Pass threshold.

Just bear in mind that some online purchases end up getting split up by the retailer, better to use it for in-store purchases or for large, single purchases which can’t be split up. Let us know which cards you got this offer on.
