Chase Hyatt Card: Earn 5,000 Bonus Points When You Set Up Recurring Payments

The Offer

Check your emails for the following offer on the Chase Hyatt credit card (from: [email protected]):

  • Set up and make at least 3 monthly recurring payments with 3 different service providers for 3 consecutive months by November 30, 2025 in the select categories listed below and you’ll receive 5,000 Bonus Points.
    • Fitness clubs & gym memberships
    • Internet, cable, & phone services
    • Local transit & commuting
    • Utilities

The Fine Print

  • To qualify and receive this one-time bonus, you must set up and make at least three recurring online bill payments with your World of Hyatt Credit card with three different service providers in the specified categories over three consecutive months (that’s a total of at least nine recurring online bill payments).
  • All payments must be completed by November 30, 2025 at 11:59pm CT. All points awarded under this offer are Bonus Points. This bonus offer is non-transferable and applies only to World of Hyatt cardmembers who receive marketing communications for this offer.
  • For this offer, qualifying transactions are defined as recurring online bill pay transactions made using your eligible World of Hyatt Credit card with service providers classified as merchants category code that falls under any of the following merchant categories: Internet, Cable & Phone Services, Utilities, Fitness Clubs & Gym Memberships, and Local Transit & Commuting.
  • Please note: We make every effort to include all relevant merchant category codes. However, even though a merchant or some items that it sells may appear to fit within a category, the merchant may not have a merchant code in that category. When this occurs, that transaction with that merchant won’t qualify. To qualify, the transaction must: (i): be completed using the World of Hyatt Credit card referenced in this communication; (ii): be identified as qualifying transactions based on the information available on Visa’s proprietary network (VisaNet); and (iii) post to the World of Hyatt Credit card account referenced by November 30, 2025. Bill payments made in person will not qualify. This bonus offer is subject to the complete terms and conditions of the World of Hyatt program available at Hyatt.com/terms and may be modified or cancelled at any time and without notice.
  • After qualifying, please allow 6-8 weeks for Bonus Points to post to your World of Hyatt account.

Our Verdict

Nice 5,000 bonus. I’m not sure if it’s targeted or was sent to all Hyatt cardholders.

As an example, you can set up your gas, electric, and phone bills to be paid with the Hyatt card for the next 3 months and that would trigger this bonus.

I’d imagine it would even work to trigger this bonus by manually going in and paying $1 each month on three eligible bills, and do so for three months, since that’s the equivalent of a ‘recurring’ payment.

Is EZPass considered as local transit/commuting?

For this promo, can the three different autopays be within the same category or do they have to be three different categories (out of the four listed)? In my case, I have no bills at all related to fitness or transit – only the other two.

Data Point. Did this promotion earlier in the year. Manually paid my electric and water bills around the same day each month. Set my YouTube TV to auto-pay. Bonus just posted the other day.

I had a similar promo from Chase Sapphire a few months ago. Points never posted, should try calling Chase but not holding my breath. So better take screenshots.

Anybody know if YouTube TV is considered Internet/TV providers or something else? I don’t know if streaming services count as TV providers these days.

Did you just manually make payments or did you actually save your cards on payee’s website to make the payments “recurring”?

Manually did $1 payments (did not set as recurring).

Did you need to keep the card on file and actually pay full as auto-pay/recuring for 3 months or worked like paying three small $x amount and triggered?

3 manual payments each month, for $5 or so was enough to trigger the bonus.
