A few people have reported receiving surveys pertaining to the possible new Chase/American Express Marriott/SPG cards. Reader @PresleyTried received a survey about ‘Premier Plus’ card, the only details given were:
- 100,000 point sign up bonus
- 6x points at Marriott & SPG properties
- 2x points on every else
- Free night stay every card anniversary

Chase already issues the Marriott Premier card and that offers:
- 5x points at Marriott & SPG properties
- 2x points on airline tickets purchase directly, car rental agencies & restaurants
- 1x point on all other purchases
- Free night stay every card anniversary
Reddit user zXFDz also received a similar survey and it looks like the card is metal.
As we know Chase has said they will issue “mass consumer and premium consumer card”. I’m a bit worried that this is the premium card they are talking about. 6x at Marriott/SPG isn’t a huge increase on the 5x they already offer and 2x everywhere isn’t that useful considering other cards offer 2%+ cash back and most people won’t value Marriott points anywhere near 1¢ each. I can’t see this being anything but the premium card given the name though, fingers crossed this isn’t what they are settling on or there are other benefits not listed.
