The Offer

Some people are seeing a nice offer among their Chase Offers/BofA offers:

  • Get 5% or 10% back at Office Depot/Max, up to $5.50 or $11.

A number of banks use the same back end for these offers. This includes: Chase, Bank of America, Regions Bank, Suntrust Bank, BBVA, BB&T, PNC, Columbia Bank, Beneficial Bank, and Christian Community CU. You can read this post for more information.

Our Verdict

Not a huge discount, but might be useful if a gift card deal comes along.

  • Lol, my offer has now completely disappeared a day after the activation. Also, I had 2 IKEA offers that have vanished after I used the same offer in other card

  • These Chase offers have definitely gotten shadier & less attractive to me. I was set to get 5% CB up to $10 back at Office Depot today. When I logged in to verify the offer was still there before leaving the house, I noticed that this offer was completely gone and replaced by a 5% CB up to $18 back offer!!

    The issue here is two-fold. Obviously, to max out the potential, I’d now want to spend $360 instead of $200, but the big kicker is that the replacement offer was not checked, so I would’ve gotten nothing! And the expiration date was the exact same, so it’s not like this was an additive Chase offer.
    Shyster move, to be sure.

  • It expires April 30 while they sell no fees gift cards the following week? So no chance to double dip

  • I had the 5% variation on two cards and the offers disappeared after activation but before buying (while still before the offer expiration date). I feel like Chase is gaslighting me but I have the screenshots from when they were on my account. Same thing happened with a cvs offer that disappeared off my account when I was literally outside the store checking before using it (that one has since showed back up on my offers as activated). Super weird

    • 100% the same for me. The OM/OD ones have appeared and disappeared after activation twice in the past few days, and the CVS one likewise disappeared and then has magically reappeared. There was also a Holiday Inn Express 10% back offer that disappeared. At least I know it’s not just me.

    • Concur. It shows on my CIC for the office supplies cat. stack. Let's hope the local OD/OM doesn't get cleaned out during the vgc/mcgc weekly promos before the offer expires.

  • Is the way to get these offers to keep using the card? How much do I need to spend on the cards per month and for how long? But by the time I get the offers the rewards per $ spent if I had used another card would be higher than these 5-15%.
