On November 21st, 2017 Chase released a Chase Pay offering $25 off $25 at restaurants when you order ahead. Deals like this are always popular and it seemed like it worked for most readers, that being said some readers have significant issues with the promotion. Some examples:
- Order placed & paid for, only to arrive and be told that the restaurant had no record of the order and had no idea who/what Chase pay is
- Promotion didn’t work at all
I heard a few reports of readers complaining about the promotion to Chase and receiving a new offer for $25 off $25+ that is valid until December 29th, 2017. I asked on Twitter and this seems to be widespread for those that have raised the issue with Chase. Some people have reported slightly different end dates. If you had issues with Chase Pay that resulted in the promotion not working at all, then it’s probably worth sending Chase a secured message to express your displeasure. If the promotion did work for you, please do not be greedy and complain as it will only ruin things for people that did have real issues resulting in the promotion simply not working.
As always this type of thing is hugely YMMV. I always think it’s worth making a polite complaint if things don’t work as they should, or a financial institution makes a change that negatively affects you (I’m looking at your negative price protection change, Chase).
