Chase Sending Out Targeted Mailers For Chase Slate Card

On April 19th Chase removed the Chase Slate from the Chase website. Chase has begun sending out targeted mailers for this card offering 15 months 0% APY and $0 balance transfer fees. This is the normal ‘sign up bonus’ on this card. It’s likely that Chase is doing this due to uncertainty due to COVID-19 and for now wants to highly target this offer. Most of the 0% APR and $0 balance transfer fee offers have also been removed.

I got one. I though about applying to just get another account open with them, but then I thought about how I have the Freedom Unlimited, 2 Freedoms, and the CSP already, so why would I need another core product?

Just got approved for 0% 12 mo card from First Tech FCU. No bt fee. They need income verification but are flexible on the CL.

I used this card to borrow $30k for free, then used that $30k to qualify for a bunch of bank account bonuses. In that sense the Slate has earned me more money than any other SUB over the last few years.

Is there a section here on opt-outs and opt-ins? I opted out like 15 years ago and have since opted back in a dozen times but I still get “Cannot find offers. You may have opted out” type messages from most banks.

Anyone had this issue?

Got them in the mail this Monday. Threw it away since I don’t need but it said fixed APR so might bypass 5/24.

Pay attention to your mailer. P2 got one earlier this year (before Slate was removed from the website) that specified 2% fee. So basically targeted for an inferior offer.

I got one of these in the mail Tuesday, most likely since I’ve been spending a lot on cards still on their 0% APR period after buying a house. If I end up with another unexpected expense, and if Discover doesn’t have any decent offers, I may consider it.
