Yes it started on Jan 1st. 2025.
I refresh page at 10am pacific and DEAL ENDED. My refresh rate is 2,3 seconds and DEAL ENDED. Impossible! Something is up. Either very few cards or? Also the $15 Amazon card was only 20% it used to be 40% savings.
Are some of us being blocked. Locked out?
A person I asked who helped me when they changed from “easy deals” to “my deals” said nothing has changed for him.

Is anyone else having problems with citi easy deals one day offerings? I’ve noticed with exception of one deal, every other deal goes sold out once the daily deal goes live.
Ie
Deal ends at 1:01pm
I’ve noticed it happening since the start of the new year.
Same issue. I came back to this site to inquire on this very problem. I’ve been very good, very disciplined since Summer 2023 when this program was re-branded at snagging the 1pm EST free ($5) daily deals, in addition to the other discounted gift card deals – simply staying logged-in and then refreshing the webpage the moment 1pm rolls around never failed. Since January 1st 2025, all free $5 gift magically sell out immediately – this is 100% impossible. This tells me there is a significant flaw/defect with the website. Or something more sinister: these $5 free gift cards are an illusion and the company has no intention of offering these any more (ie. tricking all of us).
Do what I have done, and I will keep doing this: fill-out any survey you receive, and call their customer service number to voice your concerns. The more f us that complain, the better. Best of luck. I will be back if I see any updates or progress.
I suspect a very low number are being given out now.
It used to be that if you got in within the first 10 seconds, you would be ok. The server would get hammered with everything adding to cart and checking out, but still fine.
Going to take a break from this nonsense, hope it fixes itself.
See you all in a month.

I’ve been enjoying these giftcards but it seems like I have earned too much. Each day I get an “error” that I can’t add the giftcard to card, it’s normally resolved at 1:05 and the giftcard is sold out. Are bots instantly buying these somehow or is the giftcard allotment insanely small now? I may be flagged because I just went over 150 in earnings from these deals since they started. I think this will be discontinued soon but I was happy to have gotten what I got so far.
No limits. This program had issues at first (June 2023) when it was re-branded from Citi Daily Deals -to- Citi Easy Deals. But has improved since. I search the 1pm (EST) daily deals every day, and I snag a few deals every week – a few free $5 gift cards, always! Discounted gas or CVS gift cards (among MANY other vendors), definitely worth it to keep this card for this benefit. As long as you can invest the 5-minutes each day to check on these deals, it’s easy money.

Was Citi Easy Deals discontinued? I just started to take advantage of the offers and buy gift cards, and then this week noticed that I no longer have access. Anyone else?

Is there a practical difference between the Simplicity and Diamond Preferred cards?

As I’d mentioned in previous posts, this was a Daily Deal that went live at 1 pm ET (and usually sell out within minutes).
Red Robin was today, Panera was yesterday.
They release a new Daily Deal every single day of the year with no exception and about 30-40% of these are completely free GCs (the rest are discounted GCs), so if you want to be consistent about posting these then you’d end up with hundreds of posts a year.
IMO it would be better to simply make one post each year to remind people that this program exists.
I totally agree with Jay. What’s the point of posting this when it sells out within minutes? Is it a slow news day? Don’t get me wrong, you guys are great and provide a great benefit. Just sayin’
Do these Diamond Preferred and Simplicity cards really have good gift card deals like 30-40% of the time? Is it worth it to get this card and sock drawer it just to get access to these gift card deals?
IMO most of the non-free deals are better than the free ones, so I’d say closer to 90% of the daily deals are good. Up to you whether you think it’s worth it or not though.
The different daily deal discount variations are: $5 for $0, $10 for $5, $15 for $9, $20 for $14, $25 for $20, $50 for $40. There’s a huge variety of brands on rotation, e.g. Starbucks, Amazon, Walmart, Target, gas cards, Staples, Gap, restaurant cards, etc.
Before they rebranded Citi Easy Deals into My Deals this year, they also occasionally ran limited-time special deals outside of the daily deal program. However, that hasn’t happened since the rebrand.
Besides these limited-time deals, My Deals also sells discounted GCs for dozens of brands that are always available for purchase, though the discounts are smaller than the limited-time deals (discounts vary by brand of course, normally in the range of 4-15%). Most of these are eGCs that are emailed instantly upon purchase. Each denomination of each brand has its own velocity limit (though they’re quite generous).

They come out with a new gift card offer everyday at 1p Eastern. Tomorrow is a $15 CVS card for $9. They will often have Wal-Mart, Target, CVS, Dunkin, Starbucks.

Still happening.
Tried again today, Jan 21, 2025.
I hit add at 0s and it was sold out.

The free ones usually within seconds…except the days the app wasn’t working

90% of daily deals are good? Wow. What are some examples? I’ve never had access to Citi Easy Deals before so I don’t know what they offer at all.

Got the Red Robin one, Panera didn’t show up.
