The Offer
Check your Citi Offers for the following deal:
- Get $40 back on a qualifying AT&T wireless plan purchase of $65 or more, by using your enrolled, eligible card.
- Make the one time wireless plan purchase of $65 or more by 09/30/2023. Visit att.com/MobilityMC for more information. May be redeemed 1 time(s) by the offer end date.
The Fine Print
- Offer valid one time only for new AT&T Wireless customers who purchase an eligible wireless plan (min. $65/mo. after discounts).
- Payment must be made directly with the merchant.
- Offer not valid on any smartphone, accessories purchases, AT&T Prepaid, or Cricket Wireless products or services.
- Credit card may be required (except MA, PA, ND). Additional charges, usage, speed, taxes, fees & other restrictions apply.
- Excludes any transactions bundled with other AT&T services.
- Excludes in-store purchases, including orders placed for in-store pick-up.
- Offer is nontransferable and the enrolled card must be active and in good-standing in order to be eligible for an award. Offers cannot be combined or stacked with other offers. If a merchant processes your online order in separate transactions, you may only earn an award on the first processed transaction if it meets all other offer criteria. Other exclusions and restrictions may apply. We may determine that certain offers are ineligible for an award. We may, in our sole discretion, suspend or deny your eligibility for all or part of the merchant offers program at any time without advanced notice to you.
Our Verdict
Nice savings for AT&T users. This should work fine for existing AT&T customers. (In the past they stipulated this kind of offer is only for new customers, though in practice it worked for everyone.) Prepaid AT&T is excluded in the terms.

Just swiped the card in store for Citi + Wells Fargo, someone ping me in 2 weeks so I can provide an update on if it worked.
Got the offer, curiously enough, on my Citi AT&T Universal Card. That card doesn’t really have any relationship to AT&T anymore, it’s mostly just a grandfathered no-fee Citi card with nothing to distinguish it. I keep it only because it’s by far my oldest credit card account.
im curious for DPs. not just ATT but just citi offers as a whole. i stopped caring after so many of these offers never posted. ive tried to do tons over the years. shell gas. lyft. caesars hotels etc. i had to always fight and never got anywhere. wasted so much time and spend.
now i just focus on bofa chase amex. they are reliable and consistent.
are pple seeing citi offers credit? is it better now?
Interestingly I found myself using Citi more lately due to many useful offers starting with these AT&T ones. Bet. P2 & I we have 5 Citi cards and we’ve got credited 5 x$50 in the last 5 months for our AT&T service. I’ve also used them for Walmart & CVS for 10% back. I kept seeing people getting the AT&T offer on their Chase cards but we have yet to see it on any of ours.
I one has the Costco citi card as the sole Citi credit card, is it possible to access Citi offers? And, if so, how?
no
Got an offer At&t Mobile: Spend $65 get $50 back.
Tried paying for At&t fiber on 7/1/2025 without logging in. On 7/4/2025 transactions posted. 20 days have passed since, can confirm At&t Fiber transactions does not work on At&t Mobile offer.
Att wireless should work
what is the merchant category that shows up wen u paid without login?
Anyone try CFPB if the credit doesn’t show? What was the reaction from Citi?
Did you make your payment on a new AT&T wireless plan? If not, then I’m afraid you’re out of luck because that’s what the terms say. If you did make your payment on a new wireless plan from AT&T, then I guess you could try it. Citi has been receptive to people not getting their checking bonuses who have complained via the CFPB in the past.
It works on existing AT&T wireless plan as well but terms say only on new AT&T wireless plan but we can use not for our defense with CFPB.
Got another offer to use after I was finally approved for the Double Cash. On 3/31, I made a payment to my wireless bill while logged in, and it triggered the $50 cashback on $65 purchase credit. The offer showed up as “redeemed” a couple of days later on 4/2. However, I didn’t actually receive the credit until a couple of days before my next statement closed on 4/22.
Charged $65.01 on two different Citi cards that had the offer. Charges posted 5/7/25. Today (5/10/25), the “your savings to date” under Merchant Offers (which grand totals all merchant offer savings on all cards) increased $100, and the “AT&T Wireless” offer shows as redeemed. The actual credit hasn’t posted to the accounts yet.
I have AT&T Fiber only, and I paid while logged in.
Did it post for you?
No
It looks like once redeemed in Citi/Chase these offers are never targeted back. Any DP on offer re-targeting window? one year?
Can confirm that’s not true. I’ve been targeted 3 times each on 3 of my Citi cards since August
damn. spill the beans. how
Nothing lol. All my citi cards sit in the drawer with 0 spend
Same. Got deals from Chase and Citi too many times and keep spending them. Feels like free service for many months. Thanks to these articles or else I would never see them.
yes i believe 1x/year. I got them dec 23 and then got them again jan 25 or so
I used this promo in October 2024 and just got it again in May 2025
Definitely not true. I’ve had these more than once.
I have this offer, but unlike Chase I don’t think it’s feasible to redeem it for fiber /internet payments. Any idea how to use this one?
It is feasible to redeem it for fiber/Internet payments. I just did it and have done it before.
Did you pay by logging in or without logging in? did the offer track after paying?
