As some of you have already noticed, there are currently some issues with the commenting platform on this site. While we try to rectify these issues some features might not be available (e.g e-mail alerts, profiles, tagging etc). This post will be hidden once I think the issues have been fully resolved, thank you for understanding.

Yes it’s an ongoing issue, we are still trying to fix.
I would argue that search functionality for comments is a key feature for many of us using this site. Please make sure this is maintained.
The UI doesn’t let me know whether or not I can apply to something OOS or if a bank or credit union is Chex inquiry sensitive. Totally fine with an updated UI as long as it does not interfere with key functions of the site!
If Will is thinking to get rid of the upvote feature, what’s going to stop them from getting rid of the search function and comment history too? Because the upvote feature is the simplest out of the three

When can we expect a solution?
We are working on it, lots of readers don’t care about these features so I don’t think a sticky is appropriate.
It’s so sad that the overwhelming majority of your readers aren’t internet literate enough to figure out something as simple as using a comment history or search bar, but those features do matter a great deal to those of us who have been with this community for years and years.
Take as much time as you need, but please don’t dumb down the utility of your wonderful blog for the least common denominator.
Search function on comments is a really important feature for gathering data points. Please make sure this is maintained as one of the main purposes of this site is that we can gather data points we wouldn’t be able to elsewhere.
Well DoC can hire a contractor to gather all those data points and put them on the mega threads for DPs…. no problem
I know it’s important and we are trying to fix it.
