Curve has sent out an e-mail informing consumers that their curve credit card payment is 30 days past due. The issue is that this e-mail has been sent out to Curve’s entire mailing list, including people that aren’t customers. This was obviously done in error. The e-mail reads as follows:
Our records indicate that your Curve credit card payment is beyond 30 days past due.
Failure to make timely payment will result in reporting to the credit bureau(s) that may negatively impact your credit.
To make a payment, simply open your Curve app, select your ‘Curve Credit’ card and tap the pay button next to your Current Balance. Use a verified debit card to make your payment.
And, today, a data breach notice.
Not like my SSN is much of a secret nowadays anyway….
Not having a phone number is the biggest reason for a NO on this card. Could you imagine if Chase or Amex had an email blunder like that. Have heard some really questionable issues with this card, well beyond the infrequent bug. Too damn ghetto for me!!!
I spent about an hour yesterday panicked trying to figure out where my statement was and how much I owed and how to pay it. Then I spent time trying to contact them for help. All this in the middle of my workday. Somehow their email doesn’t seem like enough. I need an extra percent point for a month or some bonus cash in my Curve account or something. Super high stress.
Got error emails from both Curve and SoFi today.
Does curve card report to credit bureaus ? Also does it allow to add eVGC , eMGC from GC.COM ?
Curve shows up on my Equifax report. As far as I know, it didn’t allow me to add any kind of prepaid gift cards.
thanks for the reply. i miss percent card. is there any alternate to use evgc to physical cards ?
Closed my legacy SoFi checking a while ago, also got an email in error today telling me that my existing debit card issued by another issuer with be converted to SoFi’s own debit card… happens often

Curve has too many bugs. It screwed me on points one too many times.
Been meaning to cancel this card for a while, but this was the push I needed.
Guess someone got fired.
