Our Verdict
Bonus is significantly more interesting if a friend/family member is referring you and/or if you can take advantage of the 5% rotating categories. It is nice that this is a cash bonus and only requires a single purchase for those that struggle to meet minimum spend requirements and there is usually only a sign up bonus of $75 on this card. Because of that we will be adding this to our list of the best credit card bonuses. Do not share your referrals in the comments below, share them in these linked post instead.

The referral for $100 seems to be alive: “You will receive a $100 Statement Credit after making a purchase within three months of account opening. You must apply through your friend’s referral link and be approved by December 31, 2022 in order to be eligible for the $100 Statement Credit offer. Offer may not be combined with any other introductory offer. Promotional award will be applied within 8 weeks.”
It’s definitely still alive.
Received an email yesterday: XZY, to thank you for your loyalty, we’ll give you a $100 statement credit when you share Discover with a friend and they get a card. $100 for you, $100 for a friend.

Can I refer my friend to the Discover it card if he has a Discover Miles card already? Will both parties get the bonus?
I just got a mailer about this from Discover. Included some “referral tickets” with a link and QR code to my referral link. $100 statement credit for both parties as long as you referred friend makes a purchase in the first 3 months after approval.
Interestingly enough, on Discover’s website I don’t qualify for the referral link… Saids my account doesn’t qualify for this offer.

I don’t think it ever left. Some people only see the $50 referral though. Mine is $100.

This doesn’t actually seem to be expired as I can still see it available and worked for P2 to refer P1 recently. Perhaps YMMV?
