First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) has launched a new co-branded credit card with Ford called the ‘FordPass Rewards Visa Card‘.

Our Verdict

The most interesting part of this card is the $200 statement credit when you spend $6,000. If you spend exactly $6,000 that works out to be an additional 3.33% cash back. The terms are a bit strange as it states it’s a $200 statement credit but then the foot note states that points are not redeemable for cash. It seems that’s just talking about the points earned from general spend and not the $200 statement credit benefit directly.

I can’t see that $200 benefit lasting too many years if I’m being completely honest, but even if you get one year that’s $300 in bonuses. Because of that I’ll be adding this to the list of the best credit card sign up bonuses.

Will it still have $200 statement credit for $6000 spend per year?

This card is my daily driver for at least 3 months each year. Would hate to see it die.

Can I still earn the $200 Statement Credit for $6,000 spend annually? The $200 statement credit for $6,000 spend in 12 consecutive billing cycles from account opening benefit will be available until December 31, 2025. After that, the anniversary bonus will not be available.”

I don’t even see a “gearup visa” listed anywhere.

Seems to be a new product with a “coming soon” page only.

If anyone else doesn’t have a Ford car but has this card, you can redeem for the Bronco store in $50 and $25 increments. (I think you forfeit remaining value if you go over the amount). I bought a very expensive Yeti cooler and was able to apply 8 different redemption codes from the Ford points. The Ford credit could also be redeemed toward the >$40 shipping cost.

Well damn, just got a second one of these a couple months ago. I suppose it’s safest to complete the $6k spend before mid may.

This was on my list now that I’m late game with the latest CSP. That $6k spend would have been great.

William Charles Something is up with this card–possible nerf coming, or perhaps just switching partners?

William Charles Got an email today that this card is no longer accepting applications and will stop earning points after May 27. No details provided on what will happen to the $200 credit, or if current cardholders will get to keep their cards. Seems like all the details from the email are also in the FordPass FAQ
