Free Shipping On Visa Gift Cards At Giftcards.com

The Offer

  • Giftcards.com are offering free shipping on Visa gift cards when you use the promotional code FREEUSPS915

The Fine Print

  • Valid until September 15th, 2015
  • Purchase fee of $4.95 still applies
  • These cards are issued by Bancorp and can be loaded to Redbird. Some people have been having success loading to Bluebird/Serve recently as well

Our Verdict

You won’t earn a category bonus on the purchase of these gift cards so they are mostly good for meeting minimum spend requirements, or if you have a generous retention bonus on all spending.

Looks like the per card fee has now increased to $6.95. Did anyone notice this increase in price? I ordered two days ago and the fee was $5.95.

looks like FREEUSPS915 is dead. Anyone with a new code? Need it asap. Should have activated my cards online.

Were you able to figure out another code?

I just went to purchase an additional $500 VGC (after purchasing $1500 last week). Not only did the free shipping code apply again, but my “G-Money” points from last week’s purchase ($15.15) brought the cost down to $489.80.

Are you saying you get 1% cash back (the entire cost of the fee) with each purchase? That makes the cards fee free. I saw someone mention that his/her name appeared on the card. Wouldn’t that only happen if you pay the extra $1 fee for a personalized card?

Yes. It’s essentially 1% back on your next purchase, basically make each subsequent purchase fee-free (slightly better actually). I’m choosing the “Pre-Designed” cards (e.g. concrete grid gray) and having my name added to them. There’s no $1 to make them “personalized.”

Here’s the math per subsequent card. $500 + $4.95 (fee) + $1.99 (shipping) – $5.05 (g-money) – $1.99 (FREEUSPS915) = $499.90.

I recall reading several days ago that the free shipping code ends tomorrow. Is that still accurate? I guess the $1 “personalized” charge mentioned on the website is for something else. How often do you purchase a gc? Do you know if it can be loaded to Serve at Walmart?

If these get lost in the mail who’s responsible? Do they come pre-activated? Has anyone tried the Citi Premier?

You have to activate. Codes as a purchase on Premier. Category is advertising services.

Thanks. I’ll have to consider buying this if/when my Premier finally arrives.

Hi thanks for the heads up on free shipping, I just did a quick search, it seems TCB is giving CB but not other portals, am I right or there’s a better portal for CB?

Also Milescollector, wonder how you get the 1% reward. I ordered before VGC before but don’t see any rewards in my account, thanks for any tips and help. Good luck MSing.

The free shipping code works only for orders $1500 or less. I have been ordering from gift cards using Capital One Venture and earning 2X points. These VGCs loads at WM just fine at kiosks or at money center. The good thing is when I’m asked to show the card, I confidently show the card with my name and I get a smile in return. I have been ordering Toys VGC as it has the word gift on the upper right hand corner blended in so it’s sort of hidden and you have to carefully read it to see the word gift. This avoids any confusion whether it is a gift card or not…:)

I have also purchased using Chase Sapphire and it coded as normal purchase.

They also have rewards which gives you 1% back. So you will pay for your first order and from second order onwards the cost will only be $7 for $2,475 order.

Enjoy!

There are multiple “toys” gift cards. What one do you use?

Appreciate the data point on Capital One. Have the Spark business card and looking for a way to meet minimum spend (without incurring CA fees).

Would amex and citi treat this transaction as cash advance?

No, I’ve used both Amex and Citi here without issues.

Amex: No. Codes as regular transaction. I have transactions from 8/27 and 8/29 on 9/6 statement to confirm.
Citi: I don’t know.

Also worth noting, my first two tries at this website with different Amex cards resulted in fraud alerts.

Noticed have the word gift on the card. Any designs without it?

As far as I can tell, no. At best, you can look around for a design where it’s less noticeable.
