The second-hand gift card selling website GCX, formerly known as Raise, has added a ‘Platform Fee’ for all purchases on the website. They’ll charge 10% of the discount amount of the purchase; e.g. if your discount off face value was $4 then you’ll pay $.40.
For purchases of discounted Gift Cards, GCX charges a Platform Fee equal to ten percent (10%) of the total savings earned in that transaction. “Savings” means the difference between the aggregate face value of the Gift Cards and the aggregate purchase price you pay. Example: If you buy three discounted Gift Cards with a combined face value of $1,000 for $900, your total savings is $100; GCX will assess a Platform Fee of $10 at checkout. The Platform Fee will be refunded in full if the underlying transaction is refunded.
