- Amazon is running a trial offer now to pay just $6.95 per month initially. After 3 months, price will revert to the regular $14.95.
After signing up, you’ll get a confirmation email from Amazon that you have a $39.99 credit toward the Echo Dot (2nd gen) device. Then add the Echo Dot (2nd gen) to your cart using the same Amazon account, and the $39.99 credit will show automatically at checkout.
You can cancel your Audible membership at any time, so this doesn’t have to cost more than $6.95 if you cancel after the first month. Or you can keep it for 3 months at $6.95/mo to get the introductory rate on all 3 months.
The Fine Print

- To qualify for this offer, you must have an existing and active Amazon.com account (as evidenced by at least $1 in transactions in the 6 months prior to redemption of the offer).
- This offer is not available to existing Audible members.
- Offer applies only to an Audible monthly membership sold by audible.com.
- For the first 3 months of your Audible membership, you will be charged the discounted price of $6.95/mo. After the first 3 months, your Audible membership will continue at the then current full price (currently $14.95/mo.) until cancelled.
- Cancel anytime by visiting the Account Details page.
- After you sign up for your membership and your payment information is verified, you will receive a confirmation email and the Amazon.com account that you used to sign up for your membership will receive a $39.99 credit (within 48 hours after sign up) redeemable for an Echo Dot (2nd Generation) device. The promotional credit will automatically be applied to eligible items at checkout and expires at 11:59PM PT, 14 days from the date the promotional credit is applied to your account.

Our Verdict
They’ve been running this 3-month/$6.95 deal for a while, but for today only they added the Echo Dot in free with the subscription. This is a fantastic deal for someone who wants an Echo Dot, especially if you value the month of Audible membership too. I think it should work even for those who have had Audible membership in the past; only existing members are mentioned in the terms as not being eligible; click through and see if this offer shows for you.
