Update: It seems that when an offer is added to a card it will be removed from all other log ins. It seems to do this via your social security number or name (e.g if SSN matches it will be removed even if name isn’t the same and if there is no SSN but the name matches it will also eb removed). Doesn’t seem to matter if the person adding the offer is the primary cardholder or an authorized user. Previously this wouldn’t happen in the cards were under different logins.
Reader Rene has suggested trying to use this link to add offers. This brings up an ‘autumn offers’ tab and it seems like that contains offers that had disappeared previously. Another possible option is using multiple browser trick discussed here.
Original post: There are a few reports coming in from readers regarding an issue with American Express offers. The issue seems to be that if you add an offer to an authorized user account, that same offer will be removed on the primary cardholder/other authorized users if the name is the same. This is happening even if you’re using different logins/no SSN. At the moment this is developing, the aim of the post is to get more data points and clarity to what is actually happening.
