ITA Airways has sent out an e-mail to members informing them that the Volare program will be shutting down on March 30, 2026. Redemption options:
- Until March 30, 2026 you can redeem points for flights departing within the next 12 months
- April 1 – June 30, 2026 you can convert them into a voucher (gift card volare) which is non personalized and transferrable. 50,000 points = €100
This is happening as Lufthansa acquired ITA and is using the Miles&More program as the new loyalty program.

Over the years, we have shared something that goes beyond flights.
With the Volare Program, we have built a journey together made up of destinations reached, special moments and points earned.
The Volare program has reached its final destination and will end on 30 March 2026.
But every journey leaves something behind. Now it’s time to make the most of your points.
Until 30 March 2026, you can use your non-qualifying Volare points to book flights departing within the next 12 months with ITA Airways and partner airlines through the Award Ticket or Cash&Points options.
From 1 April to 30 June 2026, you may convert them into a Voucher (Gift Card Volare), which is non-personalised and transferable, and which may be used by 30 June 2026 to purchase tickets of all fare types on www.ita-airways.com to fly with ITA Airways and partner airlines within the following 12 months.
You may also use them until 30 April 2026 to purchase products or services from our commercial partners or to support a cause you care about.
