I used DOC’s link and it was an easy $25. I didn’t realize that my health card doesnt show an active date on the front and so they sent me an email requesting further proof of coverage. I sent it to them via email attachment and had the money within a couple days.

Here is my referal link, thanks Jim.

This is a scam! I completed the necessary paperwork, and was requested to send ot txt a copy of my medical insurance card, which I did the same day day. Subsequently I was overwhelmed with emails from this company telling what they could do for me. After about 10 days, I asked why my $25.00 was, and was told they had not received it, which is patently untrue and I have proof of their receiving my txt. So as thet say, BEWARE, they are a bunch of crooks

I feel I have an obligation working in privacy security to strongly caution you to reflect before doing this. There’s a reason regulation on healthcare information is so protected e.g. HIPAA compliance–because it’s very sensitive and can lead to unforeseen consequences. The biggest concern to me is the medications, which can be used to proxy what diseases you might suffer from and the immense amount of your PII (personally identifiable information) it’s tied to, beyond the usual name, email and phone number, the policy you’re own itself. All this info could be used to discriminate against you for future insurance policies and even employment. Keep in mind that policy changes can come and go so the protections may vary but once your data is released through consent, you have no protection, especially bc you are being paid which shows that you benefited.

They are directly paying you for your data, which to me is way more valuable than $25, especially since it is so hard to obtain, one from you, and two even from competing healthcare policies.

My $.02

I, for one, appreciate the advice: I was considering doing this but kept waffling/dragging my feet, and now I’ve decided against it based on your sage words. Thanks for cautioning me from potentially creating a big headache down the road.

Did anyone else also receive $23.97 instead of $25 posted to Paypal?

J.M.’s comment above as well as several on DOC’s review page for Joany mention that PayPal’s fee gets deducted.
