The Offer

Direct link to offer

Check your Kroger coupons for the following offers:

  • Save a digital coupon to get 4x fuel points on Visa and Mastercard $100, $50, or $25 fixed-value gift cards.
  • Save a digital coupon to get 4x fuel points on third party gift cards. (Should work on all third-party gift cards.)

You should see these coupons for all Kroger-family brands.

The Fine Print

  • Coupons are valid from through 6/18/19.
  • Usually, every 1000 fuel points will get you a discount of $1 per gallon with a 35-gallon limit, a max value of $35 per 1000-points, though these details do vary by store and region.
  • Points earned in June will be valid through the month of July.
  • Excludes variable-load Visa and Mastercard gift cards.

Our Verdict

Should work for unlimited uses. Use Chase Freedom this quarter for 5x at the grocery or use a credit card that earns at a high rate on grocery store purchases. You also get double fuel points on groceries on weekends currently, so the weekend is a good time to go shopping.

Obviously, there’s overlap on Happy cards, so you should get 6x gas points on happy cards or even 8x gas points if you have paper coupon from the machine.

The coupons stack? You’ve gotten 8x fuel points on Happy Cards?

It’s depends on which store glitching, I downloaded all digital coupon and scanned a paper 4x point coupon, but still get 4x total point. In my store. So it’s YMMV

Ooh, interesting. I don’t get the Mastercard/Visa option, just the other two. But regardless, does this mean that if I get a gift card at the weekend, I get 8x fuel points?

Does $500 Fixed Visa/MC count in this 4x offer?

I just want to say thanks for listening to readers and starting to include “fixed” in the headlines. I’ve griped about it in the past (when the headlines implied all VGCs), and it wasn’t the biggest deal in the world, but just a further reason I love this site 🙂

I personally don’t see the benefit of VGC in general due to the activation fee. I’m wondering why people go for them.

Because even with the activation fee, you can save money on gas. Say you buy a $100 gift card. Activation fee is $6. That gets you 400 fuel points, or 40 cents off per gallon. If you use the maximum of 35 gallons, that’s a savings of $14 at the pump. So you’re spending $6 to save $14.

I only see 2X on my end.
