Mastercard partnered with Instacart to offer two benefits for Mastercard credit and debit cardholders. (Terms)
Instacart Benefits
- 3 free months of Instacart+
- $10 off their 2nd qualifying order each month
Terms
This offer begins September 1, 2025, and must be redeemed by January 31, 2027.
- To qualify for 3 free months of Instacart+ and the $10 benefit, you must have an eligible US Mastercard credit or debit card and you must not be an active Instacart+ member on or after September 1, 2025.
- To qualify for the monthly $10 offer, you must pay for the order with a US Mastercard, and must be enrolled in Instacart+ with a Mastercard. The $10 coupon applies to a second order paid with a Mastercard.
The $10 off automatically applies at checkout, regardless of other active promotions. The $10 off doesn’t apply to any alcohol or Rx items in your order and does not apply to restaurant orders. The discount expires at the end of each calendar month in which it was earned if unused.
Our Verdict
This isn’t going to help many of our readers since many of us already have Instacart+ from before 9/1/25 due to similar benefits being offered on various Chase cards.
Still, some people might be newer to credit cards and don’t yet have any Chase cards. And some might have finished their Instacart+ trials from Chase and did not have Instacart+ membership on 9/1/25; they’ll be eligible for free 3 months.
It sounds like the $10 credit only works if you have an Instacart+ membership paid on a Mastercard, and so it won’t work for the many of us who have a free Instacart+ membership via the old Chase Sapphire Reserve benefit or the 3 month trials on other Chase cards.
