  • If the terms of the bonus are met, the active member (“referee”) and the referred member (“referred”) will each receive an Visa e-gift card via email within approximately 30 days.
  • Both the referee and the referred may be required to verify their identity via cell phone to receive the reward.
  • To qualify for the promotion, i) the referee must be an active paying MealPal member on a 30-day meal plan and must renew for a subsequent paid 30-day meal plan; and ii) the referred must select the 12 or 20 30-day meal plan and complete two consecutive paid 30-day meal plan cycles.

  • Limited to one $50 Visa e-gift card per new MealPal member.
  • This offer expires on Friday, March 23rd 27th at 11:59pm EST and cannot be combined with any other promotion.
  • These terms are subject to change at any time.

Our Verdict

Turns out to be around $153 + tax in order to be eligible for the $50 bonus. Not worth doing for the bonus alone but could be a nice opportunity to try out the service.

After deducting the $50 Visa e-gift card, you’ll end up pay around $103 + tax for 24 meals which is pretty good, though a bit of an commitment for trying out a new service. If you see some good restaurant options near you, I guess there isn’t much risk, but I don’t have personal experience with the service.

Don’t do this. Check their facebook page, you will see that the company made many unauthorized charges on their customers’ credit card even though the customers no longer buy meal plans. I was one of the customers. They eventually refunded the money but it took a few weeks back and forth.

There is no phone number to call so you can only “talk” to them via emails.

I tried when they had $100 Amazon gift card. It wasn’t really worth it.
Most restaurants give you a smaller portion or the nominal saving isn’t worth the cost. It’s not really a deal.
Good restaurants get sold-out in seconds which is annoying. The daily menu can be a bust most of the time.

this shit is good for people on a set schedule. meaning u already know ur location at lunch time and you do the same behavior over and over again at the same location AKA a job.

otherwise, theres no way i can pick lunch the day before and expect to pick it up on time. too much shit comes up for me, but thats just me obviously. ive heard great things about MP since its similar or even costs less than ur normal lunch break and u dont wait in line. but u have to structure ur life in such a way u get the best food early on and pick it up on time. i would say “a lot” of planning goes into ur lunch. i do shit on the fly based on location and time.

MP reminds me of elementary school lunch where you have a meal pass and u go to the same place getting ur allotment of food. same with college too actually.

I’ve used this for about a year and find it pretty flexible – yes, it works well when you work in the same place every day and have lots of restaurant options around you (NYC midtown for me) but they’re lax about the time frame – i regularly show up 15min early or late and it’s fine. But for hot restaurants where i’d normally spend 15min waiting in line, ordering, waiting for them to make it i now just stroll right to the cashier, flash my order # and pickup (and save $3-5). Also you have until 9:30am for most restaurants to choose your same-day lunch and some are open for scheduling until later if they don’t sell out.

yea. NYC is where it all started so it should be prime time for MP. the billionaires money island is a massive food mecca.

Worked very well for the 4 or so months I used it in Chicago, too. The only reason I stopped is because I moved offices where the participating restaurants were a lot further away. If you’re in the heart of your city’s downtown, though, you’ll have a few dozen options within a 10 minute walk.
