Via earnburnchurn on Reddit, there was a slight change in how to go about getting a signup bonus matched with Chase as it’s now more automated.
Typically, we message Chase using the Secure Message system within the login/app and ask if they can match the old bonus to the newer bonus that came out. Chase would then reply that you should meet the spend and message back to have them make the adjustment.
Apparently, Chase has now automated the system: just message them once for the match, and when you meet the spend you’ll automatically get the bonus. You won’t have to message them a second time.
A tiny change – given how popular matches bonuses is with Chase I thought it worthy of a post.
