Our Verdict
The Visa Checkout deals just keep on coming!
The Newegg promo can hopefully be combined with the $25 off $200 offer at Newegg from Amex. Many of us have been buying gift cards using the 12.5% discount of the Amex Offer. If you have ordinary purchases to make on Newegg, you should be able to get almost 25% off by purchasing $225 worth of merchandise and combining the two offers.
Important: It’s unclear whether making a purchase using Visa Checkout will trigger the Amex Offer credit. Paypal does not work, but reportedly Visa Checkout does work since they just process the payment and it doesn’t come through on the credit card as Visa Checkout.
In any case, you can certainly buy a $200 Newegg gift card and pay directly on Newegg to trigger the Amex Offer credit that way. Then you should be able to use the gift card along with the Visa Checkout promo as a separate transaction. So long as part of the purchase is paid with Visa Checkout, the promo code will likely work.
