Avoiding Fees
I’m unsure if there is an early account termination fee on the checking account, but there is a $20 early account termination fee on the passport savings account if it’s closed within 60 days of opening.
Checking My Way
They charge a monthly fee of $3 if you enroll in paper statements or a $5 fee if you have paper statements with check images.
Classic Checking
You need to have a balance of $4,500 or more to avoid the monthly fee on this account
Our Verdict
Vinton county have offered a smaller $100 bonus in the past, with the same no requirements. Unfortunately because the service area is so small it doesn’t look like anybody actually completed the previous deal so we’re still unsure whether it’s a hard or soft credit pull.
What I like about this deal is the fact that there are literally no requirements to get the money, which is unusual for a checking + savings bonus. If I lived within the service area, I’d complete this bonus if I could confirm it would only be a soft credit inquiry.
If you do complete this bonus, please let us know what your experiences were in the comments.
