Our Verdict

How useful such a deal is will really depend on how often you want to eat pieology I guess. Basically $1.67 a day if you use it every day, usually these types of deals exclude tax/tip  as well so keep that in mind.

I’m on the east coast, so not near me. but seems easy enough to make good use of, if you have the time. I don’t see carry out excluded, so should be pretty easy to get value out of, especially if you’re part of a couple, family unit, etc.

Experience with recent Fazoli’s deal:
Deal is very similar in many ways: 1. Once per day. 2. Redeem with APP.
I couldn’t imagine eating Fazoli’s for 8 weeks straight myself, but since to-go orders are an option, it’s easy to purchase every day and give to someone else at times.*** (Spouse, visiting relative, etc.). While it seems like it would be possible to circumvent the rules and have more than one person use the membership at restaurant (Eating on alternative days. – It’s only to be used once per day.) It’s not something I have any desire to do because it’s easy enough to only have one person use the pass and order to go on days they don’t want it for themselves. (“Sharing” the actual use of a pass like this not only ruins a program , but would create unneeded stress and worry IMO. I can see how a self-righteous persons could lump sharing the pass and sharing the actual food as the same thing. I feel differently.***)

*** I’m not sure how the “First-sale doctrine” applies to food purchases, but I see nothing wrong morally with sharing food once I have left the restaurant. To each their own.

I expect to see more and more places to try this: As long as they have pretty decent food it has the potential to be great advertising. For deals like this the key is really the flexibility. By allowing carryout you’re truly creating the potential for the customer to advertise for you. There is a good chance that they will take some of the food (Which they have paid a reduced price for) and give a lot of it away to someone else. – This is bound to: 1. Introduce new persons to the businesses food. 2. Remind prior customers how much (or little.) they like the businesses food.

There is one in Stamford, CT. Any way to find out if that location has this deal?

We’ve been to the Sacrmaneto / CSUS location, and I’ll admit the pizza is pretty good. Shocked that it could be that tasty given its high volume / counter service style. People can go crazy with the toppings too, but I guess if you had this pass you wouldn’t have to.

It has taken me a long time, but at this point in my life, I’m tired of pizza/burgers etc. Never would have said that in my 20s.

Pizzas are $8.45 at my location (San Diego Sports Arena), so the breakeven point is about 6 pizzas. In 30 days, that means a pizza every 5 days. Tempting, but I’ll pass.

There is no tip as Pieology is a fast-food joint (basically like Chipotle but for pizzas instead of burritos), so that helps. That said, it really sucks that it won’t support any locations in Corona/Riverside/Redlands.

their term is not specific enough like the smash pass, only say which store you can buy them, but doesn’t say which store participate for redeem. Wondering if I can go to Monetary park location to purchase it and use it in the culver city location

From the fine fine print on the activation page: “You may purchase a Pieology Pass for yourself or give the Pieology Pass as a gift.” Anyone close to one of the stores listed? They have locations all over the US…

Here are the full terms https://pieology.com/ppactivate

It allows pizza or salads. I actually quite like their pizzas. It’s a build your own pizza place and you can choose as many toppings as you like. The location I go to doesn’t skimp on the toppings and I feel it’s good value even when paying regular price. Their in house fruit drinks are really good too. The nearest location is too far for me to justify buying this though.

Can you redeem your entree at any pieology location? Or do you have to return to the location where you bought the pass?
