Raise.com has added a neat feature in their app that when you add a gift card to your cart, it’s reserved for you for five minutes. This is to mitigate the frustration of going back and forth trying to buy a card and seeing the card sold out by the time you finish the purchase. (Been there done that – happens especially on fast moving cards.)
[#rant] I personally HATE when businesses have additional features on the app that aren’t on the website. I don’t understand why they can’t let consumers choose their preferred mode of shopping. Some things like a mobile payment option are understandable, but standard features should be the same across all platforms, IMHO, no matter what your marketing team wants. [#endrant]
There are numerous other changes in the updated app as well. I updated to the app and found it neat and snappy.
They added an interesting feature where you’ll get a push notification if you have a gift card in your Raise Wallet for a nearby store. Pretty cool to get such a reminder, but note this means you’ll have to keep your Raise Wallet up to date and delete old cards, otherwise, I imagine you’ll continuously get notification for the old, depleted cards.

FYI, the Raise app accepts Apple Pay and Samsung Pay which earns 3x with the US Bank Altitude card.
