Our Verdict
Most grocery store gift cards are physical gift cards only which is a bit of a pain. A lot of people consider grocery store gift cards as good as cash, and this 3% discount on top of the ordinary ~1% discount can make sense for some. Just remember grocery stores are often a credit card bonus category which you’ll be losing out by purchasing the gift cards on Raise.
They seem to have most grocery store gift cards at 1-2% off, such as Kroger, Shoprite, Safeway, Meijer, Stop&Shop and dozens more (Whole Foods does not seem to be eligible. After the added 3% it’ll be more like 4-5% off. A few grocery brands are at higher discounts to begin with, such as HEB at 3%. There’s also UberEATS at 2% which functions as an ordinary Uber gift card too.
Remember to go through a portal as well (keep in mind there are lifetime limits on portals for Raise). There’s also a separate restaurant deal going on now at Raise as well.
