I’ve done two things to try and help this, I treat points/free stays the same as a paid stay. There is no point in me giving a place a five star review when I paid with points that I would only normally give a three stay review. I try to contact places/leave feedback as often as I can for both good & bad things. I’d say the majority of the time I’m letting places know about their positives (and mostly staff, as this really helps to not only encourage those staff members to keep delivering excellent service but can also help them get promotions and pay increases).
