Samsung Pay Rewards lets you earn points for every Samsung Pay transaction you make (10-40 points per transaction depending on your current status level/tier). Normally you’d be able to get 0.5¢ per point in value when redeeming for gift cards but until December 31st gift cards are discounted. They have just discounted the Samsung.com gift card even further, a $50 gift card will cost you only 1,000 points (5¢). Normally it would cost 10,000 points (although I suspect these will always be discounted), during the discount period these have been selling for 2,500 points so it’s still a significant savings.
These can’t be resold, so you’d need to want to purchase from Samsung. All these Samsung pay promotions are making me want to switch, but I’d really like to upgrade to the Pixel. Decisions, decisions.
Update: These are actually a coupon code and you can only apply one per purchase.
Hat tip to Slickdeals
It goes back to 2500 Jan 5 and then back to 10000 on Jan 15. So stock up.
Thanks, picked up a Gear VR 2015 for $10 and the Level U PRO Wireless Headphones for free. Not as good as the $100 off $100 coupon though 😛
I will say as an owner of the galaxy s7 edge and gear s2 classic, it is an adjustment coming from pure google. Throw into the mix a Samsung Level U I purchased from macy’s with plenti points (sure have a ton of amex MRs but using your page for amex offers one could say it was you!) it is strange to have my neck, pocket, and wrist vibrate simultaneously. The friends that know of this trio sure get irritated as there’s no excuse to miss a call/text/email. Lol. But the app selection for the gear s2 and classic are lackluster. I too miss the pure google experience and may end up going to the pixel XL and back to Android wear (still have the LG G watch).
I wanted to upgrade to the gear s3 classic as it brings the mag strip emulation the phone has with samsung pay. Always funny to see people with old credit card readers think I have hacked them or stolen from them when I ask if I can try using my phone. The worst is when folks see that its an Amex (SPG for 2x points for small business whatever) and I usually throw them an extra $1 or more depending on the total so they can relax on their CC fees. I always show my real card briefly so they understand what I am doing is not illegal.
I think it is becoming increasingly difficult to stay on top of each possible reward. And missing one, even if unsubstantial, can bring about anxiety or sadness. I just have to tell myself, OK, I have done pretty darn good, and if I don’t get enough points for the Samsung giftcard, all will be well!!!
DP: You cannot stack the coupon codes. On the bright side, taxes are only charged on the updated amount. So you won’t get taxed for $51, you will only get taxed on the $1. I bought an S Pen for my Note 5 and a fast-charge car charger for $0.74 total. With the second code I bought a fast-charge wireless charging stand for free ($0). For only 2000 points (1000/ea.), I think this was definitely worth it. Thanks DOC!
Thanks – glad to hear it.
Hey, I wanted to know if we are limited in how many coupon codes we could apply to checkout? These would be really cool to stack up and use for a big purchase in the future if they don’t place limits.
First time posting here btw, I check DOC everyday and multiple times too lol!
Not sure sorry 🙁
According to Live Chat with a rep “I have to inform you that you can use only one Coupon code at checkout in Samsung.com web page.” I guess it makes sense since it is called a “coupon code.” I’ll offer an official DP though later today, I need 60 more points for 2,000. I’ll buy two codes and then we will know.
