I ended up going for this and it wasn’t a bad deal. End of the day you get 400 chips (if you paid $60 like i did for the “100” deal). Normally, 320 chips cost 60 plus tax, so end of the day i see it as a $15 discount off what i would have paid $70 to get their normal 400 chips for (plus tax). Worked out to around a 25% discount. The way the guy loaded it on our cards you could theoretically have gone on a non wednesday, loaded the chips and then come back and used on a wednesday (which would have made it a great deal).

fine print looks very questionable. having a kid who detroys my wallet at D&B here are a few caveats I’m seeing:

1) If you do half-price Wednesday, almost guarantee you WILL NOT be able to redeem these cards on that day, because fine print says both “must be redeemed at front desk” and “not valid with other promotions”. I’ve tried similar discounts on Wednesdays and they shut you down. You’ll have to make a separate trip to reddem these before 1/2 price Wednesday I’m sure.

2) they don’t give any anctual point values for these cards. D&B does do “bonus” offers on site if you buy certain amounts and doesn’t look like they apply on these cards. I think the “bonus” is generally around 25% (depends how much you spend, so I don’t think the 40% off is that great.

This is a bad deal unfortunately. The purchase result in arcade powercard recharge in $20 increment value, which is far less than purchasing a larger bundle in-store.

For instance, $100 in-store gives around 780 credits and $20 only gives 100 credits. (D&B also have different pricing depend on store location, about ±15% difference.)

Seem to be power cards unfortunately, not gift cards?

Sorry for this basic question, so this can be used for arcade play but not to buy food and drinks?

Not sure, I’m not terribly familiar with Dave & Buster’s. The Power Card section in their Terms of Use only mentions games that I can see though. https://www.daveandbusters.com/us/en/terms-of-use There is 20% off the regular gcs at a few other places
