This offer is showing in some/all (?) Speedway locations. Could be a pretty good deal.
Good stack with Discover 5%
Purchased a $100 home depot and a $100 texas roadhouse, worked fine.
I just purchased a $100 Google Play gift card (using Discover for 5% cashback + first year match). I subscribe to YouTube TV, so I’ll easily spend the $100 in Google Play credit. Anyhow — I didn’t get a coupon in the app for Speedy Rewards, even though the points for my purchase did show up. The cashier seemed generally confused. “It worked earlier”. She gave me a number to call to get an adjustment, but they’re closed for the weekend. If anyone else ends up in the same boat, here’s the number she gave me: 1-800-643-1948.
Follow-up: Apparently the Google Play gift cards specifically weren’t part of the promotion in their system. They couldn’t issue me the coupon, but issued me 15950 Speedy rewards points instead (which is enough to get $15 worth of Speedway cash cards, but I’ll be banking for other things).
This is good to know. I am currently in the same boat where I purchased gift cards but the cashier was confused as to how this promo worked and told me to call the number on my card.
Like SlickDeals, ya’all missed the past 30 days of a similar version of this promotion. (DannyDealGuru had it — That “hustler” slug then plagiarized Danny’s catch– but badly butchered the details… the deal is NOT available on-line.)
Anyway, I can also confirm that the deal is close to a free gas winner — IF — huge if — if you have a 5% cash back card on gas station purchases. (They do code as “gasoline” purchases via Discover…. waiting confirmation for my pending statement if they land the anticipated 5%) You also will get 2% back in Speedway rewards funds…. To really make the deal hum…. you’ll need really good re-selling relationships (for Home Depot esp.), plus some patience…. Lowe’s gift card inventories are rising again (as are the re-sale prices) HD often sells at close to 100% — minus 6.5% if you’re lucky)
Yet another gas promo during 2019 early summer….
Actually $15 off gas after picking a GC and paying with a 5% back card is better than those fuel points at the major grocers and Shell, Kroger fuel, etc. And, IF you missed the e-GC at Lowe’s, this is a good do over.
It’s definitely better than the fuel points. This deal has actually been going on since May 1st. I’ve got close to a year’s supply of gas at this point.
Concur — and I am already quite lucky to be able to land free gas at both Martin’s and Kroger (unlimited fill-ups in Richmond, VA)…..
But IF you can re-sell the HD or Lowe’s cards at a good rate, this indeed is just as good. (and the Speedway gift cards (not the coupons) never expire — though you need to be careful not to lose ’em!)
Store 1 just limited me to $400 in total transactions.
You were lucky to get four. For the past month, Discover card was limiting me to just one per store per day. Store would have happily sold me more — and I did a few more (using Amex cards)….. Anybody have any luck calling Discover to get them to lift the cap or the mindless fraud-block? (I saw others a year ago would add something to the transaction so they weren’t back to back $100.00 transactions.)
I was blocked as well with Discover, but it was Speedy doing the block according to Speedy and Discover. Speedy allowed me only 2 $100 cards. I did a 3rd one with cash, (just because the cashier screwed up and pushed cash and I saved her but by going to the ATM and getting cash.)
Plan to go back with 3 different Discover cards and see if I can get 6 cards in a day.
did you just do 4 separate transaction and got 60$ gift card total?
I can only get one per credit card. Will it reset everyday ?

for others reading this, highly encourage using the app….. you start the transaction by having the csr scan your app’s membership card. (If you didn’t start with a membership # that at the register, that may be why you didn’t get a coupon) Deal is ONLY open to speedy whatever members. Within seconds of doing the transaction, your app will receive the $15 coupon — which in turn scans/loads into a gift card. (even better, you’ll also have a running record of everything, in one place, including all the speedy rewards points you’ll be racking up — 2% per transaction)

Nor was there last month…. (but it still was a fantastic deal with the Home Depot cards….. Given that this space was largely silent on the deal, inventory was plentiful… pun not intended. Cat’s out of the bag now for June.)

You get a $15 gas GC when you buy $100 of specified GC’s
This is being technical, but it’s relevant. You actually get a COUPON for a free $15 Speedway gift card that you can use at any other time before expiration of the coupon.
Not exactly….. You get a coupon (which if you use the app, come to your phone instantly) — then you use that coupon to purchase $15 to be loaded onto one of the Speedway gift cards. (which yes, can be used instantly to buy gas — I did just that seven times during the May version of this promo)
Speedway can also combine several $15 Speedway gift card coupons onto 1 giftcard. Just ask. This is especially handy if you are trying to take advantage of one of their “10 gallon fillup” promotions at pump.

They ran this last June as well, worked for amazon gc as well. You should get speedy reward points as well which are worth around 2% for gas.
Didn’t work for 2×50 Amazon cards. Any luck with the variable load (they were out of these) Amz GC this year?
