[Expired] Starbucks Summer Game – Win One Of Two Million Prizes – Get Free Plays

Deal has expired, view the current Starbucks game by clicking here

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Starbucks has launched it’s summer game. Basically it’s a virtual board game and you can receive plays two ways:
  • You’ll also receive one play for registering and viewing the ‘onboarding’ experience.

The Fine Print

  • Valid until 9/10/18
  • Keep in mind you need to pay taxes on prizes you win
  • Beverage credits expire daily

Our Verdict

Using the entry form means you can play without making any purchases. Seems like the most common prizes are 10 or 50 stars. Might as well do this if you collect stars at all, especially with the no purchase method.

William Charles  Chuck 2020 Version seems to now be live. However, it seems broken for me (asks you to sign up and doesn’t give you the option to log in) https://www.starbuckssummergame.com/#/

What a useless promo. I played 75% of days with 2 plays a day, and ended up with a grand total of 15 stars…

I don’t understand why chances to win the Costa Rica trip ended on August 13th yet the contest goes until Sept. 10th? Doesn’t make sense??

it’s only the instant win ended on 13th – you can collect pieces for the 3 grand prize costa rica trips up until the 10th

I absolutely HATE this game more than any Starbucks has ever offered. Not only have I not won anything (after playing every day) but there have been frequent glitches. Had 2 remaining plays, the screen suddenly turns to 0 without any mini games being played or any moves. The Starbucks purchases I’ve made have never resulted in play credits. So I manually fill out the optional entries, play twice and then proceed to always win nothing. It would actually have been helpful if the game had been explained better, there’s not much anticipation of where to land on the board or what it accomplishes. Wishing everyone else the best, this one was just not for me.

Their games are getting crappier, I agree. I do 2 free plays every morning for both my accounts, haven’t had an issue with glitches (Safari and Chrome). Won maybe 100 stars between the accounts. I think the goal is to round the board as often as possible to unlock all the mystery (cloud) spaces and collect stupid game pieces to win stars. Regardless of whether it counts your starbucks purchases, you can still only get two plays a day as far as I know.

Beverage coupons expire one month after winning, not daily.

You are limited to winning the 10 star and 50 star prize each only once. So max 60 stars.

Where did you see that?

I did get two of 10 stars. Actually wouldn’t mind it being limited to once at all though, since 10 stars is probably the lowest instant win prize.

What’s the best way to use the Power Move Space?

You want to move around the board as fast as possible so you open up Mystery spaces. So Pick the highest move (3 or 4 spaces) that gets you to a Play Game piece (you might win stars or a game board prize that can lead to winning a big prize. Or you can pick the highest move that gets you to JUMP to the next game.

Why do you think having More Mystery spaces is a factor? Whether random or predetermined, if it’s based on time stamps or numeric position it seems upon hitting a winning marker, the game could present a prize regardless of how users interact. An Extra Play or Power Move could either be simply delaying the win/loss presentation, or creating an additional marker. Or am I analyzing it wrong? It might be useless, but I space my free plays out over some time, rather than requesting/redeeming them all quickly. So far I’ve won 120 stars through 4 prizes. 3 were on the drink race game, and 1 was on bubble pop in a mystery space. Any info about how they space the prizes on the back-end that I’ve missed?
