Terms and Conditions
*This offer starts 12/31/2022, or the date you enroll, whichever is later, and will end on 03/31/2023. Earnings associated with this offer will equal 5% back, up to $75 in total on eligible purchases that will be posted on your account in the form of statement credit and may overlap with other special offers in which you are currently enrolled.
Purchases must post to your account during the promotional period. Many merchants will wait for a purchase to ship before they post the purchase to your account. Delays by merchant, such as shipping, could extend the date that your purchases post beyond the promotional period.
Balance transfers, cash advances, checks that access your Card Account, items returned for credit, unauthorized charges, interest and account fees, traveler’s checks, foreign currency purchases, money orders, wire transfers (and similar cash-like transactions), lottery tickets, gaming chips (and similar betting transactions), Citi Flex Loans and the creation of Citi Flex Pays, are not purchases.
An eligible purchase is a purchase made when PayPal is the payment method with your linked Citi Credit Card during the eligible promotional time period, except for peer-to-peer transactions (such as PayPal Send Money Transactions), Citi credit card purchases made with convenience checks, cash advances, and items refunded for credit. We reserve the right to determine which purchases qualify for the offer.
Statement credits earned will be posted to the primary cardmember’s account in 1-2 billing cycles.”
I almost forgot about this offer. Was scrolling through my screenshot and checking Citi transactions, realized I have not used it yet. Slide allows buying amazon gc as of a few minutes ago so that made it easy.
Activated back in Nov and spent about a week ago, still nothing.
Received $20 in statement credit today. I purchased at store via PP QR code
I never got a targeted email, but I saw this offer on my account home page when I logged into my account today. Here are the Terms and Conditions linked to my offer (curious if a POI Funding Transaction, like a VGC purchase, is considered an “eligible purchase”:

Anyone Citi Dividend card holder tried stacking this with Dividend 5% Q4’22 category ?
Many airlines have Paypal payment option and Dividend has 5% on Airlines in Q4.
Anyone knows for sure that Paypal payment passes the category over to Citi ?
In the beginning of July 2022, I activated a Citi’s offer of 5 bonus points per $1 spent with PayPal on my DoubleCash card (up to 3,000 points total). On July 26 I made two charges using PayPal. However, I haven’t received my bonus points.
Today I reached out to their customer service using online chat. Here’s what I heard: “We are aware of the issue and currently looking into it. Once the issue is resolved, the rewards will be adjusted accordingly. You will be provided with additional communication once available.”
I asked about their timeframe. Here’s the response: “Our team is working on this as this issue was spotted only at the end of last month. So expect it to be resolved in a month.”
Forgot to mention that I used PayPal to cover my estimated tax payment with payUSAtax.
I got the same issue but also issue even with the base points.
Could you please check how many base points did you get?
You can check my message below for more details.
Did you eventually get the $30 or 3000 points?
It shows up as Bonus points on your statement.
Look in the box on the top right hand corner of page 2 of your statement.
I only got 4x Bonus points but 0x Purchase points.
Citi finally did give me a statement credit of $5.
It was marked as CITIBANK CREDIT FOR DISPUTE.
Could someone check how much do you earn on PayPal purchases.
I started realizing that they don’t pay base points for PayPal.
According their website:
1X
All Other
Purchases
Drugstores
Clothing
Electronics
Home Improvements
And More
So they don’t say “Everything else”

Did you notice there is no “1X All Other Purchases” on PayPal transactions?
I hope they don’t have more exceptions like that…
I am just seeing your post on Jan. 30, 2023.
I used a Double Cash card for this offer in August-October 2022 time frame.
I also did *not* get the 1x which is the base cashback on any of my Paypal transactions.
I made $123.70 in purchases.
My statement showed:
Purchases : 0
Bonus : 495
I called Citi and complained.
They issued a statement credit of $5 which is the 1x of $500 which is the spend limit for me.
Does anyone know if this will trigger when using PayPal bill pay?
DP: so far, PayPal bill pay did not trigger it.
It worked for me; the credit posted 17 days later (the date it posted is also when my statement closed, not sure if that was a coincidence).
Are PayPal Bill Pay payments counted as ‘eligible purchases’?
