The Offer
- Capital One has a few targeted offers that are money makers. To get these offers to show you need to visit the sites with the capital one shopping browser installed and lower offers will show, after 24-48 hours you might get lucky and be sent a targeted offer that is higher.
- Tempo Meals $102, ~$70 mm
- Motley Fool $180 for $99 annual plan
Our Verdict
Nice deals if you can get them to actually show. Has been issues with Motley Fool in the past so personally I’d just skip that one.

How long did it take to post? been a few weeeks but haven’t seen it track with capitalone shopping yet
Hi, I searched and couldn’t find a proper answer on this. I am looking to do the t-mobile offer and I logged into to my capital one card account and saw the offer. If I use the c1 portal through my card account, do I need to use the card associated with it?
Tmobile $250 (c1) + $300 (tmobile seperate GC credit) has finally completed credited. Definitely worth it.
For this offer, which plan did you choose? Did you have to activate the internet? How long did you wait to cancel the plan? Thanks!
yes, the tmobile seperate offer that I stacked required activation. I believe 60d. I think I ended up paying just over $100 before I cancelled but I think there’s still some bills to come. I doubt T-Mobile still offers this, but I figure next time it rolls around it’s a good DP because this is the best money maker C1 offer I’ve found.
When I tried applying they wanted to run my credit.
Was it a hard pull or a soft pull?
Which bureaus did you keep unfrozen?
T-Mobile Home Internet is a post-paid account meaning T-Mobile will be extending you credit every month until you pay your bill. It is a soft pull. You have to thaw your credit bureau reports for them to complete the soft pull.
Dan
Definitely soft, all thawed cause I really just don’t care that much even though I do pick up the occasional CC
I had my credit bureaus frozen when I tried to apply. Got error. But I then unfroze all 3 bureaus. Still getting the same error. Tried on Chrome and Edge. Any ideas? I get that it is some sort of ID verification issue. Maybe if they can’t verify, you lost the ability to apply online for a while? Any ideas anyone? Also, I am wondering if maybe it is because I applied the promo code (MONTHONUS) for first month free.
You could call and ask. Maybe they can correct your profile. One thing you don’t want to do is apply over the phone – that almost certainly won’t count for C1
Tempo was initially credited, and I did plan on doing it but the card I used declined. They ended up clawing back the 117 a month later.
Blue Apron didn’t track, I contacted support a few days after the purchase and was told to wait 30 days to see if it tracks. After 30 days it showed up under rewards but the status was “ineligible”. Sent support screenshots of signing up and the support manually credited it as a courtesy credit.
Still a mystery why it did not track and then showed as ineligible. I followed the same activation steps as the other offers, the others all tracked. I had never used blue apron before so was a new customer when signing up.
I couldn’t find how to cancel the subscription for Tempo by home chef, so I paused the subscription. “Your account is paused and you will not receive weekly orders. Reactivate your subscription to start receiving meals again.”
I guess pausing the subscription would do it.
Anyone struggling with Spot & Tango emailed “unlock offer” link? Can’t load it in multiple browsers, devices, and internet connections. It just dumps me on a white screen. I think C1 sends follow up emails, maybe the link is cursed
I waited for another email with the same elevated offer – clicking on this one worked fine. Spent $17.50 for $146.50 in rewards.
I redeemed some gift cards, and upon revealing the card numbers, I received a warning:
“Keep your gift card secure. We advise that you only reveal the card details when you’re ready to spend.”
I don’t plan to use these gift cards immediately. However, I’m concerned—if Capital One were to lock my account, would I still be able to access the redeemed gift cards and reveal their numbers later?
I’m debating whether to reveal the numbers now and write them down. Is there a significant risk of e-gift cards being stolen if I reveal the numbers now?
If it’s anything like the other cashback portals, any unclaimed rewards are pretty much gone if your account gets suspended.
I’ve been claiming all of my gift card rewards as I’d rather not leave all the eggs in one basket.
Thanks
Slickdealer , that makes sense. I decided to claim all my gift card rewards from Capital One Shopping as well, just in case
Cashed out Lively, Motley Fool and TMobile so far for a credit (net) of 250 (170) + 180 (180) + 250 (~400, as TMobile is supposed to give me a gift card, too). Just a warning Fool appears to refund if purchased w/i a couple months, they fully refunded me so I’m a little worried about clawback. I indicated on Fool that I was lived in CA (and some other states).
Does Motley fool cancel the account immediately if unsubscribed? Some services would still allow for access till the end of the current subscription after the renewal is canceled.
I assume in my case no since I was fully refunded.
Right, that makes sense. I’ll probably wait a few months before cancelation then. I wanted to try out their services, but the amount of marketing emails is so annoying and I don’t think I want to keep it.
When you did the tmobile one did it track correctly? Were you charged anything when your first did the purchase. I’m seeing that they don’t charge anything when you first get service so I have concerns about it tracking correctly?
I should get it Mar 4. It went pending fairly quickly.
Cashed out Lively, Motley Fool, and Tempo today. Now ready to try some other ones. I wanted to do Ollie for $191 and Spot/Tango for $146. I got the targeted offers a while back but now the extension isn’t showing the proper cash back in the popup so I assume those email offers have expired. Has anyone had success getting fresh targeted offers to return? I clicked around the sites again thru the emails with the extension turned on so hopefully that works.
nevermind. Got Spot and Tango targeted email sent.
