Our Verdict
Should be easy to meet the requirements for most people.
Has anyone received the cash back from the Google Chrome offer? Is it cash back as an account credit or cashback bonus added to your rewards balance? I saw that the way they spelled cash back is different from previous cashback bonus offers. I’ve noticed they normally spell it Cashback Bonus® and here it says cash back. So it got me wondering if it was a cash back credit on your balance or just a slip-up from their marketing team.
Gets added to your regular cash back rewards balance — monthly statement will just show an extra $10 cash back earned.
My purchase was $101.99 on GiftCards dot com — received $11.02 cash back that statement cycle ($1.02 reg + $10 bonus)
I got the Apple Pay over as well – 8% extra up to $500. Card is frozen (but has been in my Apple wallet) and 0% BT expiring so great timing. Mine only valid to May 31 tho
I received two offers recently.

Hi lowkeyflyer,
Will the added Authorized User need to make the purchase by 6/30/2025 or can I make the purchase after adding a AU, to trigger the $50 cash back? TIA
Doesn’t matter — you can make the purchase.
Added AU on the 2nd, made a purchase on the 5th with original card, received AU card and activated it on 9th — just got $50 bonus on May 13th statement
only a 0% balance transfer for me. i don’t know how everyone is getting the targeted promos for spending. i am with discover for more than 5 years and never get one of these. disappointing to say the least.
Received offer for $20 cash back for making $100+ in purchases using Discover Card with Digital Wallet (Google, Samsung or Apple) by 7/31/2025. Commented in other post:

Same here
Was targeted for the authorized user offer, no luck on any of these purchase offers 🙁
I got $20 back on $100 purchases (1 or more purchases) using digital wallet (Apple/Google/Samsung Pay).
Ditto.
How do we get these? All I ever get is 0% balance transfer offers (with a 4% transfer fee).
Also wondering if there’s an opt-in option somewhere I’m not seeing.
Please stop the madness with subject verb agreement. Discover is a single entity. Therefore should be “Discover has”. I know this is going to come across like a smartass comment but trying to help lol.
This is a pretty common UK English construction for entities – “Apple have…”, “Google have…”. Not sure if it’s the case here, but the writer of this post may not be American.
He might be British
Ah good point
Crikey, maybe Aussie.🤣
Keep in mind that if you don’t address the comment to the author of this page (
William Charles in this case), it’s not likely to be read by anyone at DoC, so it may not actually help.
If you’re not familiar with how to do address a comment to an author of a page, type the “@” symbol and start typing the name of the person you want to address it to, and the list of possibilities will come up, and select the name you want from that list.
I figured that out because I try to help also with this site when I can. So I do appreciate you trying to help.
And, btw, there are other possibilities than being British, as your other replier (
sg77 ) mentioned. One thing that’s quite possible, because I have that problem all too often myself, is that it may have started out as something like “the people at Discover have”, which would have been correct, then was edited, but was not edited correctly.
Is this automated AI spam?
No, I wrote the reply manually.
Per William Charles, “We both have notifications off.”

Well, I’ve noticed that helpful messages to DoC where I didn’t include an “@” of the addressee didn’t tend to get acted on, while I’ve noticed that helpful messages to DoC where I did include an “@” of the addressee did tend to get acted on.
Keep in mind that there are two benefits to using the “@” with an addressee:
One benefit is the notification, but perhaps that’s not the important benefit in this case.
The other benefit is that it makes the addressee name really stand out, by turning it blue. So perhaps that’s why they’ve paid more attention to messages where I’ve used the “@”, because they spotted their name in blue while quickly scanning the message?
