Our Verdict

Not a bad deal if you are targeted. Sellers should also be happy to see these types of deals as usually it helps move inventory as well. The better cards usually sell out quickly, so keep that in mind. Portals won’t work on these deals as a promo code is required. This is better than the 4%/5% discounts we’ve seen recently, shame it’s targeted.

It shows a new code for me now: DOORBUSTER 5% off, max $10. Says it’s for all weekend.

I got a different offer a few days ago to get $10 in Raise Cash when using Raise Pay to buy at least $100 in gc.

I guess this is as good a thread as any to add a recent Raise DP.

Raise told my wife that a purchase she had made through a portal using a similar targeted coupon code was “non commissionable.” I have never had that happen with regular promo codes they advertise on their website, so keep this in mind.

Mine also says minimum order of $100 not $125

What GCs does everyone typically go for in these types of deals? Obviously ones you can utilize in the future, but are there any that are better for holding onto than others? I have also found great use out of GCs in coordination with YNAB, allows me to transfer funds around without it becoming an expense at time of purchase.
