Our Verdict
I was sent this offer via email for my Smartly card, and others got it on various other personal or business cards from U.S. Bank. The fine print does not mention actually making a purchase; simply enrolling in Shop With Points should do the trick and trigger the bonus offer.
There is an ‘Enroll’ button in the email which routes through your U.S. Bank login to enroll your card with Shop With Points. I’m pretty sure enrolling directly on Amazon will work as well, though it can’t hurt to be safe and do it through their workflow.
Here is our affiliate link to the Shop With Points page on Amazon where you can see which bank programs are linked to your Amazon and also link new programs. (Thanks to those who support the site by using our links when making purchases.) Be sure to uncheck the option for “Automatically use points at checkout when available”.
