Our Verdict
Most people are interested in this card due to the 5% cash back categories you can choose and the fact that there is no annual fee. The public bonus is currently $150 and we’ve seen an offer of $125 + an extra 0.5% back on all purchases for the first year. This $200 offer is the best offer we’ve seen on this card, it’s a shame it’s targeted. Check out these Things to Know about US Bank Credit Cards before applying. Getting approved for U.S. Bank cards can be difficult, so some people will want to apply for the U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve card instead and then downgrade that to this card for the 5% categories at a later date. (that downgrade is not possible, see comments for more information).
