$10 Uplifts
The Topcashback promo to get $10 per gift card sold on Raise.com is officially over. We can still earn $1.50 on gift card listings, including listings of $50 and above.
We’re now seeing the cashback has now been uplifted from the initial showing of $1.50 to the full $10, as expected. In July, it took them a couple weeks to pull through; this time we got it on the September 2. Good job!
Topcashback Time Zone
For a while now, we’ve been noticing in the Topcashback confirmation emails that the time they report is off by a number of hours from our time in USA. After tracking it for a while, it became clear that Topcashback is using UTC/GMT, which is 4 hours ahead of EST and 7 hours ahead of PT. This is likely because Topcashback is based in Britain and they use their time zone for all calculations.
If you want to track your Topcashback confirmation emails, you can just notate the time of each listing and calculate the confirmation email minus 4 hours for East Coast folks. Or minus 7 hours for West Coast folks.
There’s no other way to track it since the order number which shows in the Topcashback account doesn’t appear anywhere else in the Raise emails or in the Raise account, as far as I can tell.
$10 Promo Time Zone
Topcashback did not uplift any of the transactions made after midnight British time. In my Topcashback account, all transactions made after 8 pm EST are showing as being September 1 transactions and were not uplifted from $1.50 to $10.
As of just before 2 am EST, the $10 promo was still showing on the Topcashback site. Most likely, it showed until 3 am EST which is midnight PT. I expected to get cashback even for the 2 transactions I did after midnight since the promo was still showing on the Topcashback site. I assumed it would go until 3 am EST which is midnight PT.
I certainly didn’t dream that they would use British time to stop the promo, despite the fact that we’re on the USA site, and despite the fact that the promo was clearly showing based on our time zones.
All told, the promo was great, but it’s important to keep in mind for the future how Topcashback calculates time.
Did anybody notice that TCB reversed “$10” from “confirmed”? For me, all $10 uplifted transactions are $0.0 now, it says – ineligible.
Many of my GCs were listed, but not sold. As I saw from TCB promo for Raise, a $10 was for “listing a GC”, a sale wasn’t required.
Are you serious? You actually expect Raise (and TCB) to pay you just for listing a gc? I’m surprised you didn’t list a million gc in that case. The only $10 that was removed for me was the first gc I ever listed that I had cancelled a few minutes later.
Well. they were supposed to be sold, not listed, and I think that was expected.
That said today I discovered that one of my transactions was reversed and marked as ineligible even thought the gift card was effectively sold.
Also another transaction wasn’t tracked so I submitted a claim and so far it’s still under review after a month…
And that’s why I stopped using TopCashback a long time ago, they’re very unreliable compared with other popular sites and on top of that very slow to resolve problems, if they ever resolve it because in my short experience they frequently deny or abandon claims.
Sergey, we are all seeing some transactions being clawed back. I haven’t yet gotten a clear reason for this.
Are you sure the reason was b/c it wasn’t sold until September?
In my case the declined cashback was for a gift card listed on August 17 and sold on August 19.
Hi there,
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!
I’d just like to assure you that we do work in PT time zone and not GMT. We would like to review these for you so if you have any issues with the transactions in your account, please feel free to send in a support ticket through my link below.

I hope this helps,

I listed cards before the promo ended but they did not sell until after it ended. Those are still showing as $1.50 while the others are $10. Do you think they will go to $10 at the end of the month?
Did you list on August 31?
I listed 5 on 8/31. One sold on 8/31 and uplifted to $10. Two sold on 8/31 but were shipped on 9/2 and no $1.50 or $10 yet. One sold on 8/31 and was uplifted. One sold 9/1 and no $1.50 or $10. One listed on 8/30, sold 9/2 and hasn’t been shipped yet but has been uplifted. I think I’ve got them confused with all the cards I jammed in there at the end. I’ll wait a few days and ask for them to track it.
