Our Verdict
$7 isn’t much, but grocery store deals are essentially free money for those in the area. The likely sell gift cards too if you want to go that route.
My friend J. got this offer on a Chase card. This might be showing on Bank Amerideals and other banks as a number of banks use the same back end for these offers. This includes: Chase, Bank of America, Regions Bank, Suntrust Bank, BBVA, BB&T, PNC, Columbia Bank, Beneficial Bank, and Christian Community CU. You can read this post for more information.
If anyone hasn’t checked the price at H-E-B, please do. They are literally the worst offender of price gouging (same as Kroger and target). If you go just outside the city boundary, the “rural Texas” H-E-B prices are usually 20% cheaper. A bottle of juice would be selling for $10 dollars in Houston, Dallas or Austin and $5 dollars at college station, Waco or any other smaller cities. Better to shop at Amazon or Walmart for auto 30% to 50% off for the same household products. Not sure what their hype is in Texas.
My chase offer was 2% only with maximum $2 back
Now with offers is that only on the first purchase?
Or all purchases until you hit the maximum $ back?
Got 5% and $4 max on CFU. I also got the same offer in August.
Got 2% back…. $2 maximum
Exp for the 5% on my CF and CFU both say 9/30/2020
Added, thanks
The offer disappeared after I added it and made a purchase at HEB. It now shows in the expired offers section. Looks like it’s valid on a single purchase only.
Edit: I missed the line about single purchase in T&C.
Fun fact, “B” in H-E-B stands for butt.
When I was a kid the word was the H stood for Harry. Not actually true but I still pretend it is
Shame; I don’t have this on either BofA or Chase. I do have 10% on Starbucks (max $3); 10% on Buffalo Wild Wings (max $5); 20% on Sunbasket (max $24); 10% on Sunbasket (max $12); 10% on Doordash (max $5); 10% on Big Lots (max $6)
got a $7 cb on the CSR; if getting a $500 VVGC, very much a break-even after the VGC & MO fee; but, the PYB redemption is still good for grocery
