On June 3rd the U.S. Department of Transport announced that starting on June 16th Chinese airlines would be prevented from flying in or out of the U.S. This was in response to China’s aviation regulators limiting foreign carriers to one flight per week based on frequency levels from March. On June 4th Chinese authorities eased these restrictions and now the U.S. Department of Transport has also eased restrictions for Chinese airlines. Chinese airlines will now be allowed to two weekly
round-trip scheduled passenger flights to and from the United States.
