Yesterday we posted that U.S. planned to block Chinese airlines from flying in or out starting June 16th, 2020. This was due to Chinese authorities regulators limiting foreign carriers flights and not responding to Delta & United Airlines request to resume flights. Civil Aviation Administration of China has released a new statement and set of rules.
- From June 8th, 2020 all airlines not listed in the ‘fifth phase’ flight plan can choose one city from a list of pre-approved cities to resume one international passenger flight per week.
- If a flight’s passengers test negative for COVID-19 for three consecutive weeks the airline will be able to add one additional flight per week
- If five or more passengers test positive for COVID-19 the airline must suspend the flight for one week
