The Offer

Verizon Up is offering freebies/discounts for 7 days of Christmas. Gifts are as follows:
- 12/3: $5 Starbucks gift card
- 12/4: GRIP all in one phone mount for $12.99
- 12/5: AMC giftcard
- 12/6: Plant a tree
- 12/7: $25 restaurants.com gift card
- 12/8: $30 off JBL tune
- 12/9: Amazon gift card

Our Verdict

Gift cards and plant a tree are cool, rest are probably useless for most people but still not going to complain about $15+ in freebies. Not sure if there will be enough for everybody each day or if it will be limited quantities.

Agree – I must have been too late to the AMC one and forgot to check most of the other days but at least came away with the the two best ones (Starbucks & Amazon). Thanks for the reminder!

Ok so from my experience these show up exactly at midnight on the day it will be offered. I have not checked every day but so far when I redeemed the starbucks $3 gift card and the plant a tree offer from today they showed up at 12 am on my app. So if you wait till morning they might not be there.

talking about 12 am is not helpful when there are people who follow this site across 6 different time zones. i think the offers might hit at 3am EST, but im not certain

Gift cards that don’t work – tried to redeem a verizon up TJ maxx gift card last week. The check out staff said the gc pulls up as invalid in their system.

Some of the cards require additional steps, like I believe Starbucks I had to submit the code and then a real gift card number and PIN came through that I was then able to transfer to my app. I haven’t used a TJ maxx gc through them but have successfully used AMC, amazon, starbucks, and probably a couple others this year.
