[Expired] [YMMV] $10 Amazon Credit As Thanks For Shopping On Prime Day

This deal has expired, view more Amazon deals here.

The Offer

Direct link to offer (our affiliate link)

  • Amazon is offering some Prime members a $10 credit if they made a purchase on Amazon Prime day. If the above link doesn’t work, try clicking the ‘thanks for shopping on Prime day banner’ if you see it on the site

The Fine Print

  • Valid until July 25th, 2018
  • Not everybody is eligible

Our Verdict

Seems to be targeted towards mostly new Prime accounts or those on a free trial currently. I’m guessing most people won’t be eligible unfortunately. The credit might also only work on every day essentials.

I made Prime Day purchases from two long-term accounts. I did my usual “my buddy/wife told me…” and got instant $10 credit for one, and an escalation to supervisor on the second. Amazon gives out credits like their beans in a supersized chili bowl 🙂

Have any of you successfully gotten the credit? If so, what did you buy?

It shows that it’s not in stock until 7/29. Did it have that message when you ordered it?

Did it ship yet?

Did the 2nd circle down to the left of “Buy in Everyday Essentials” turn to a check mark immediately after you placed the order?

I ordered it like a week or 2 ago, so its possible the stock has gone down. that page with the status did not update for me until like a week later unfortunately 🙁

I ordered it yesterday but it shows a late August or September ship date. The terms state that the $10 won’t be awarded until the item ships and the credit expires in August so it’s doubtful I will ever receive credit.

I bet many people ordered it after seeing your comment (and before I ordered) so it depleted stock even further.

Anyway, thanks for replying. Unfortunately, no one else did even though there’s almost no chance you’re the only person here that received credit.

Anyone already bought something and got the credit? The email says “a Prime item” but after clicking the link it says buy everyday essential.

I got it on my prime trial account too – “Thank you for shopping on Prime Day! Explore a new category and get $10 when you make a purchase before July 25th. Your credit will be available to use when your order completes shipment.”

So i got this deal. In the email its says you can buy anything sold by amazon that is a prime item to get the 10 dollar credit. But when you click on the link it says to purchase something through Everyday essentials. Has this worked for anyone not buying through everyday essentials?

I also received this offer via email. I didn’t originally click on the link, so thought I could make any Prime purchase (as alluded to in the original email). I made a purchase in other categories and didn’t receive the credit. Not until this morning when I clicked the link did I see purchase has to be in Everyday Essentials. So, it appears you have to buy in EE to qualify. Not a big deal for me because I needed those items I ordered anyway…

Can confirm “Seems to be targeted towards mostly new Prime accounts or those on a free trial currently.” I have 2 Prime accounts, the 3 year old account didn’t get the $10 credit email, the 5 day old account (just started a free 30 day trial before Prime Day) got it.
