Does this have to be purchased together or can you make separate purchases? I.e. flight in Nov, hotel in Dec?

I got a different offer on co-branded cards. The offer goes something like this- $25/35 as a statement credit if my purchases on HBO MAX exceed $99 by the end of the year. Good offer for any who uses it. I don’t use MAX so no use for me.

Sucks that it’s flights AND hotel, it’ll be great if it’s just hotel

I would rather only flight. No difference in price with Chase Travel and airlines but hotel prices can be all over the map.

All the hotels are overpriced by at least $50 compared to booking.com Pretty pointless/

I booked a $5 hostel in Thailand for tomorrow. Wondering if they will report a no-show/cancellation to Chase or if it will process as an eligible stay..

My flight was $200. To clarify, I am NOT staying at the $5 hostel 😂 I just needed to book a hotel in an attempt to trigger the offer

Good call on making it a cheap hostel. I bet they record it as showing up because it’s just less hassle for them. Let us know how it goes.

I found that booking hotel on citi thank you travel or chase ultimate rewards travel portals is almost always more expensive over other websites like booking.com or expedia, but NOT always. The cases when it is sometimes cheaper are hotels in the very near vicinity to airports, basically airport hotels. I have seen on both citi and chase travel portals these hotels be sometimes the cheapest in comparison to any other website (agoda, hotels, priceline, …). When it comes to other hotels not in the airport area I do not even bother to check anymore (it is ALWAYS more expensive), but for airport hotels checking the chase or citi travel portals does make sense. Just a DP i noticed.

I wouldn’t use Chase travel even if it’s giving away free rooms and flights. I’ve had multiple horrible experiences with their customer service, taking hours on the phone each time without resolving the issues. The foreign (I think India) agents just kept reading from script without actually trying to do anything, even though the issues were caused by the airlines schedule changes!
Just out of curiosity, I checked on an upcoming hotel stay in Taipei and found a hotel listed like 5 miles off actual location!!!

Keith I was always impressed with both phone and secure message support from Chase. However my very recent experience with both of these was very bad in past few months. Seems like they degraded support – as a part of cost cutting, they seem to have outsourced to some cheap and low quality service provider.

Agreed. Recently had to cancel a flight that I booked through Chase and they were quick and efficient. I did get charged $50 cancellation fee, but that was from the airline (and in the terms), but no drama from Chase.
