Update 5/13/25: Most readers are commenting now that they are removing the $75 discount from order, so probably not worth doing this deal anymore.

The Offer
Direct Link to offer (please read carefully) | Buy Flowers link
- DoorDash is offering a $75 credit toward a future purchase when you buy flowers on Doordash. Valid May 9 – May 11.
- Those who do not have Dashpass will only get $50.
Important: The $50/$75 is a ‘Doubledash’ which you should get and use immediately after placing the flowers order. You should see the DoubleDash on the screen immediately after completing your flowers order
Our Verdict
Some folks on Slickeals had success stacking promo codes and Chase credits to get the flowers almost free and then get the $75 credits. Others just bought cheap flowers for $25 and got the $75 credit.
Note: the $75 credit only works for select retailers which will be disclosed after the order. That said, a lot of people got useful retailers like Wegman’s, Aldi, CVS, Starbucks, Walgreen’s, 7-Eleven, etc.
I titled this YMMV since some people did not get the $50/$75 credit, and yet others got their $50/$75 order cancelled (and then went and cancelled their flowers order). You also won’t know which store the credit will be for until after the order.
Ultimately this can make sense for someone who wants to do a flowers order anyway, or possibly on a cheap flowers order if you’re a risk-taker.
Other stacks:
- Use your $10 Chase credit and/or any other promo code you can find (saw someone mention THEO50 for 50% off?).
- Check if you have a Chase Offer for 10% back on DoorDash; some have this offer through May 20, 2025.
- Cash app for 15% back.
- Shopback portal is currently offering 10% back on DoorDash through May 11th, up to $10 back (I’m not sure if the $10 limit is per order or total cashback). You can see our review of that portal and their $20 signup bonus in this post. See other shopping portal options on Cashbackmonitor.
didn’t get the credit and wasn’t offered compensation. kept telling me someone would email in 24 hours and that never came. each time I talked with an agent they said a team would review and get back.
Ditto.
doordash is trash company. they offered a deal..didn’t honor it. they deactivated my account..but they sent me a $35 gift card via email. but my account still deactivated lol…like w t f
They refused me this credit too. Don’t recommend Doordash
I placed an order yesterday and double dashed the $75 bonus but the $75 credit didn’t show up. Cancelled the order and didn’t write in or complain or anything.
I just got an email from DoorDash with a $25 gift card and apology for the hassle. Check your inboxes
5/11/2025: Ordered flower and a double dash for delivery on 5/12/2025
5/12/2025 8AM: Receipt showed the discount
5/12/2025 9AM: After delivery, receipt removed the discount
I contacted Doordash via chat who said that I should have a resolution in one hour. Still waiting for their resolution, but hoping others have had success.
This is what happened with mine too just now.
Same for me. They said resolution within 24 hours. At least I have the email showing the estimated total to be $3.50 in case I need to dispute it with Chase.
Same here, removed my discount at delivery.
Worked great for me! Scheduled a couple hours later so I would have enough time to pick out everything. Ordered a dozen roses from Kroger’s flower shop and then $75 of groceries from Aldi. Checked my credit card account activity afterwards and all charges are accurate. After all fees and tip, ended up getting the groceries for less than half what I normally pay. Thanks DoC!
Yep, removed my discount too. Currently chatting with them, but if they don’t budge, I’ll probably have to dispute with Chase.
I’m chatting with them too, first the support rep said the offer had expired. Then when I sent the screen shot of the original receipt showing it would be $0.91 total and asked for him to look into it more, he said not to worry and that on his side I was only charged that $0.91 and not the full amount. I sent the screen shot of the chase account showing the pending $75.91 charge and the final receipt from DoorDash showing $75.91 and he hasn’t replied yet. I’m hesitant to dispute with Chase since then I won’t have access to the ~$240/yr in $10 retail credits… but I might chat with Chase customer service or email them complaining. I think this was largely targeted at CSR/CP holders and Chase should know how their customers are being treated by a partner…
Thanks, I cannot get through to an agent, been about an hour. Probably will try tomorrow. But I am not holding my breath, they might be as bad as Uber support.
I have little to no use for their DoorDash credits given that I have all those needs met with Instacart and Uber. But I am also not sure why you think you will lose your credits automatically.
I mean, the discount was showing during the checkout, and then after the order was delivered they changed the price. This is about as clearcut shady as it can get. Moreover, their promo terms never mentioned anything about the minimum – the discount was applying to each item as I was adding it to my cart, not after I reached the required minimum of 75.
It’s widely reported that if you do a credit card charge back they will disable your account and flag your card/phone number so you can’t just make a new account, hence why I would lose access to ongoing Chase credits.
Thanks for explaining. I have a second phone number if I really need DD, and the card number can be changed by requesting a new card from Chase, although the name will stay the same on the card.
I am actually not even sure Chase will side with me, b/c they also have a rep of not being customer friendly. Anyway, no resolution from DoorDash yet, they told me to wait for 24 hrs longer, ugh. Not being overly optimistic.
Beware: Even if all goes well through delivery, check your final receipt and credit card charges / Doordash credit balance. They removed the $75 discount about an hour after delivery and charged my credit card, which I am in the process of disputing.
I bought a bouquet of flowers ($6 after all discounts and Chase $10 credit applied), unlocked the $75 discount at 5 stores (LA area), and purchased a handful of items from Walgreens totaling $77 ($2 after the discount). Everything worked fine until after delivery, when Doordash emailed my final receipt and the $75 discount magically disappeared. Really shady but par for the course for Doordash unfortunately.
This just happened to me too, except as soon as they picked up my items at Safeway a charge hit my CSR card for $75.91. I’m waiting to get ahold of DoorDash support right now… please update what they ended up doing did you!
Pending charges are not charges. It is not uncommon for them to do a pending charge for a larger amount, then the final charge is what it is supposed to be.
Unfortunately my final email receipt shows the full price with no discount…
My final email receipt showed that I was being charged the full amount. This morning looking at the receipt on the DoorDash app it still shows the full amount charged and no promo discounts, but also a note under the two charges on the credit card that I would only be charged $31 for that order and the double dash order, which would be correct counting the promo. So not sure what is happening yet…
the same
Is this final emailed receipt different from what you see online? I don’t think I receive email receipts. The receipt online seems fine.
Update: Just received an email and they gave me a full refund for the order. Still ridiculous and unbelievably shady, but glad it’s all sorted and I came out $2 ahead lol.
I successfully placed an order using the promotion—and after the “dasher” picked up my order, they charged my card another $50.88.
I think what happened was that I bought an item by weight and when they tried to reprice the order, they removed the promotion.
Any resolution with this? Has support applied the promotion again or refunded you?
I waited an hour for support on chat, the page refreshed, the chat box went blank.
I called. The automated agent was extremely difficult. I eventually got it to agree to let me speak to a human. I waited on hold for a human. I kept waiting. I gave up and stopped waiting.
I sent DoorDash a message on Twitter. Let’s see how this goes.
Sad that customers are having to debug DoorDash’s issues.
