(YMMV) Walmart.com: Review Select Purchases & Get $5 Credit

Update 7/24/25: I got this offer again today, this time via email (sender: [email protected]). Check to see if you are eligible.

Update 4/3/25: I got this offer again today, this time via email (sender: [email protected]). Check to see if you are eligible.

The Offer

  • Check your Walmart app and see if you are selected to be able to earn $5 for each “incentivized purchase” you do a review on.

To find this, either click on your name (top-left) or on ‘Account’ (bottom-right), then click on “Reviews NEW”, then check at the top of that page when you see anything under “incentivized purchases” which would give you a $5 incentive for making a review.

Our Verdict

Personally I found one item which I purchased many months ago that was eligible for the $5 review incentive. I input a simple review, selected “anonymous” since I didn’t want my name showing on the review, and I immediately got the $5 coupon code via email. Some people got multiple products with a review incentive, and they received multiple $5 coupon code discounts for their reviews.

There’s also a separate YMMV deal for Walmart+ members to get $15 back in Walmart Cash and/or Lyft credit when reviewing their year; we wrote about that here.

Hmm…not targeted. Well…I was asked to review a few things, but no offer of reimbursement. Sorry…Walmart!! I’d rather spend my time posting about not getting the offer on Doc…than doing a free review for YOU!! It’s a loyalty thing. Have a blessed rest of your day, Doc family!!

I searched this email address and found tons of messages. Luckily, Outlook displayed one of them a bit differently—even without opening it. Instead of the usual subject line like “Review your recent Walmart purchase,” it showed the content as “Get $ off next purchase.” Maybe that’s some kind of AI feature?
That email was originally sent to me on 04/07/25, but I decided to give it a shot today anyway. Right after I submitted it, a $5 discount code landed in my inbox!

Does the email f[email protected] mention the $5 credit?

I did get a few emails from f[email protected] requesting writing reviews but the email doesn’t mention anything about the $5 or any other credits.

This is still paying out regularly! Be sure to check your reviews for offers. I am at $50 so far!

Hello. I just randomly check the app as stated in your post. Often. I just looked now and I have another “incentivized purchase” to review. I have added at least $25 in addition to the $50 above since May!

I did two but have not gotten any email or refund credit. I guess YMMV is true.

Thanks. I had one item. It was a seller that used Amazon Shipping and did not provide the link to Amazon Shipping’s portion of the shipment. The seller gave me the USPS tracking, but that was useless until Amazon Shipping handed off the package to USPS.
Gave me incentive to let others know.
The seller had the audacity to argue with me even though it clearly showed that the package was shipped with Amazon Shipping. Someone told me how to track : https://track.amazon.com/
This isn’t something being dropshipped.

I had four fishing items to review. Does anyone know if these $5 codes can be combined?

No, they can’t. The only bad thing. I an catching so many $5 codes
(up to $50 now!) I have resorted to checking to see if things are lower price in the 90 day return window and applying them if I didn’t have a code at the time. I got a pair of gym pants that were $20 around 80 days ago. They are on clearance for $10 right now I reordered them for $5! So I made another $15 by returning them under the $20 order. 🙂 It all adds up!
