These deals are great since there always seems to be something to purchase on eBay and this will give you a $5 discount on that purchase.

Two notes:

The system seems to allow us to even pay for the discounted eBay gift card with an eBay gift card, so you can just keep on rolling the discounts. Alternatively, pay with your Chase INK card and you should get 5x rewards.
You can also try going through a shopping portal (such as Inbox Dollars for 5%); although eBay gift cards are excluded in the terms, it sometimes works anyway.
